Hi, hope all of you are doing better. Tomorrow is my D day. After finish with my treatment 2weeks ago.V16,cispltin & 36 radiation en october & then 3 cycles of taxotere. Last week I had the PET & the CAT and I will see the Dr. tomorrow. Scarred,scarred,scarred.... since thr rrecurrence is the 1st. time that I dont want to go. My surgeron told me that I was StageIIIa for the lynph nodes in the medias & the little nodes in the same lung where I had surgery 4 years ago. Inever felt bad during the treatment, not even loose my hair completly. Yes spend xmas in the hospital for shingles & fever, but rather than that I was only tired & a little animic, so I am afraid that the treatment did not work. Thanks for listento me.Allways thinking about all of you. bucky

I don't write much, alway read & all of you are in my mind, but my English is not good. On Tuesday I will have my last chemo treatment (I think)Taxotere. and on the 15th, after Pet & cat scan they will give me the resoults and I am scarred. I will be a 4 year survivor on the 9th. since they I was diagnose with Stage Ib. Everything was find until this September when in my check up they sow the recurrence, little nodes in the same side that I had the loboctomy & some limph in the mediastum. I was treat it with V16 & Cisplastin 2cycles & at the same time 36 of radiation, rest for 3 weeks & started the Taxotere 3 times, so it will be my last. Looks like I am telling the story of my life, & thank you for lisen. I can not take this horrible thing out of my mind. I am 52 with 4 kids & 2 grand I will like to see them grow. The feeling of death is always in my mind & I will like to take it away so I can enjoy life alittle better. I will stop & thank for all of you & this wonderfull site bucky

Thank you Randy, I know I should write more. I had my two grandchildren here & my 4 kids & betwen chemo & radio by the en of the day I was pretty tired. How are you doing? We will spend Christmas here & if God want we will go to Beech mountain for New Year.Where are you a pastry cheff. Thnk you again & Marry Christmas! bucky

2 weeks ago I finish w/my 2nd chemo cycle, cisplastin & V16 plus I was doing radiation that I finish my35 treatment last Tuesday, during the whole treatment I was feeling really good, only had 2 bad days because my blood count went down. I was soupousse to start with Taxotere this week but they cancel for a week because the efects of the radiation & my blood was a little low again even if I was feeling good. So I think I wil start next tuesday, but since yesterday I am feeling week & have the feeling of my stomag swollen, is that normal? Fortunally my primary results are pretty good, since that everything is much better & my bood exam show 0.9 of cancer. Even if is recurrence they thought they cought it early. My other question is what do you do if you have a sick kid at home? My granchild is 3 and lives with me. My other kids dont't let him get close to me but that is not fare for him since he does not understand. Thanks to listen to me & happy, happy hollidays. bucky

Dear Lilly, is the best thing that you ccan do. Get it over. I was really scarred about chemo & just pass my firstcycle without a problem. They told me that I will losse my hair, not yet....but think it will grow again. Best of luck bucky

Surviving in Greensboro. 3 & 1/2 clean. Recurrense 1 month ago. Start chemo & radiation. Feeling preety good, but can not belive that is back. Thanks to all of you. love bucky

Hi,I am Bucky Alexan mom. They tod me yesterday after the biopsy that is the same cancer that had return. How many of you had a recurrence. The Drs. are really positive but I am so scared & depress.
