  1. Congratulations on your mom's 1 year anniversary. I'm glad to hear that she is doing so well.....Too bad there continues to be so much smoke in the house. I guess that's up to her to make that stop. Sorry about her dog. It's always so hard to lose a pet. I wish your mom continued success with her treatments and Happy Halloween! Shelley
  2. Alimta was very easy on my mom as well. A little fatigue, but she was out shopping and having lunch with her friens practically everyday. Good Luck! Shelley
  3. Definitely keep pushing for the xray. It amazes me that the Dr. just didn't go ahead and order one. You know what they say about the squeeky wheel.....Shelley

  18. Hi Barb (and Carole) Thanks so much for the info on the study. I am very interested in this as well. My mom also has Squamous Cell (stage IV) and just like you Carole, I wish the drug was available for everyone NOW. Shelley

  22. Hi Linda, Carbo/Gemzar was the first line treament for my mom and she did very well with it. Minimal side effects, no hair loss.....Really just some fatigue that they took care of with Aranesp for her low red count....She went out to lunch and dinner with friends, shopping, etc. After 6 cycles she had a definite decrease in the size of her mass, but they decided to roll her into the next line to try and shrink it some more.
