Hi Teresa, I was happy to read that your Dad's tumor is smaller then the doctor said it was . Maybe it will just keep shrinking and next time it will be totally GONE! I too, thought that Harry would get sick after the first "drip" of chemo entered his body... I didn't know anything about it. I'd never been close to anyone that had been thru chemo. Thankfully, he had a very nice nurse the first time, and when I asked her about it, she told me that some people sail right thru , with not many ill effects at all. She said it was very rare for anyone to get sick while getting the infusion. (Unless they were allergic to it). Harry's worst days were always the 4th, 5th and 6th days after the infusion. (Not saying that will happen to your dad though ~~ everyone seems to react so differently). I'm curious to see what they tell your Mom when she questions them about the unmentioned change in size of your dad's cancer. Take care of yourself, Nova

I'm sorry, Laurie. Our Christmas was pretty nice. The grandbabies arrived at 7 am. The littlest one had been awake so long, that he was staggering around like he'd been having too much "Christmas Punch"! The kids made it very, very fun. Don't know what I'd do without them.

Nooooo, I'm a "quickie" (there's your guy, Maryanne), wrapper. Slightly sloppy, too much tape, and jagged edges!!!! I'm mostly wrapping for kids though, so as long as it has their name on the tag, they don't care about "pretty"!!! Have you ever been a vegetarian?

Going for a LONG walk in the woods.....But you will have to bundle up, whereas I have to put mosquito repellent on. Sometime the only way to "de-stress" my mind, is to get out of the house. Being outside always helps. About how many gifts did you buy this year?

I would interview my G-G-G-Grandma, (on my father's side), and My G-G-Grandma on my mother's side. They were both Indian women. I think it would be neat to hear all about their lives and the memories of when they were little girls, etc. Speaking of genealogy.... How far back have you traced your family tree?

My Mom was trying to escape from my alcoholic father when I was young, so we moved constantly--in the country for a while, in town for a while. My favorite was living in the country, where we got to keep our horses and other animals. Would you rather drive or fly ?

Thank you all, very much. We probably won't be home til evening, but I'll update as soon as I can. I've got the "shivvers and shakes" about this, for some reason. (Probably because he's been left alone by the doctor's since October, and he seemed so happy! Guess it was kind of easy for us to pretend that things were "normal".) I appreciate you all, more then words can say.

Harry will be having his first bone scan tomorrow morning. He's been in quite a bit of pain for a few weeks now. (Shoulder and rib areas, on the left side). He's also started getting very dizzy again, and nearly passed out yesterday in the kitchen. My son and I were next to him, luckily, so we managed to keep him from falling. If the doctor suggests chemo again, it will be his 4th round, so I'm not sure what they will use. Please say prayers for him. He's scared this time. Thank you, Nova

I found this late too, and was just getting ready to offer up prayers for your surgery to go smoothly, when I saw that it was finished and you were recovering! Yayyyy! I was VERY happy to read your post. Have a good Christmas, and prayers for healing are going up for you. Nova
