  1. Without actually counting, I'll guess 9. But I wear three pairs regularly: tennies, slaps and dressy flats. The rest are heels. I wear them when I'm not doing a lot of walking, although most are actually quite comfortable. Oh, I didn't count slippers. I have 4 pairs of those. To match my robes. Can you tell I'm a "comfort girl"?
  2. Wasn't Freeway on Hart to Hart? And I think the two dobermans on Magnum PI were collectively called "The Lads".
  3. Hey, I'm in Orlando three days a week. So a quick trip over to wherever you want to meet is okey dokey with me. I can do any of the music listed, but I do love me some Lynard Skynard!! Gimme three steps...
  4. OK, then, Becky. If you would like to pick me up first, that would be great. We'll swing by for Muriel and then get Ann. Ann, you will be ready to relieve Becky when we get to your house, right? Judy, it shouldn't be long now...
  5. That's great news, Sis. I'm so happy for you and Tom!! Lynn
  6. Ann, since you're relieving Becky on our southern leg, why don't you go south and pick up Judy. Then swing by for Muriel. I'm just up the road from her. We can then criss-cross our way north, picking up folks as we get near. Once we get Bruce and Sandra, along with any of our other Canuck friends who are adventurous enough for the journey, we can make our way to California for the ocean cruise to Ned's house. Let us know when Becky arrives, Ann. I'm sure Judy will be all packed and ready to hop aboard!! I bet she'll bring her orchids if we ask real nice.
  7. school days: strawberry poptarts and cheddar cheese goldfish from the "Snack Shack" weekends: peanut butter/jelly toast or cereal with buttered toast
  8. I believe I'd like to go to Virginia. It's beautiful there, plus there is a lot of history to see. Yes. I'd like that very much.
  9. Caren, I don't know much about anything, really, but I would think anything "qualifying" as a liquid could count as "fluids". Be imaginative. I would include ice cream and soups, for example, in the fluid count. I don't see a problem with diluted fruit juices. Whatever he will drink is good. Even beer or wine can be an acceptable choice, unless he drinks enough to cause a medication reaction. It's a liquid and even comes with the added bonus of calories!! LOL I guess my point is, whatever he will drink is what you should go with. And some drinks can be "boosted" with a bit of nutrition, too. (Like protein powder in a shake.)
  10. Kristi, my husband had what is called "focal" seizures. He tensed up and had a "stricken" look in his eyes. The first time I saw it, he was eating dinner. For a few seconds, I thought he was choking. He didn't remember it happening, either.
  11. Thanks, Ann!! I love a good pun. Lynn
  12. Thanks, Randy. That's good advice.
  13. Well, I haven't actually bought it yet, but I am thinking about buying a GPS. I'm going to be spending a lot of time in Orlando. I'm sure I would appreciate being able to find my way around town without getting lost. So, although it isn't a totally frivolous purchase, it's not something I would normally buy for myself. I've never been a "gadget" person. LOL Oh, and I bought myself an e-pass for the toll roads. It's rather nerve-wracking if you pay with cash. You have to practically exit the road, then merge back on. With the e-pass, you just keep on driving. No muss, no fuss. It saves me 10 minutes drive time and a ton of aggravation!
  14. Clothes: Jeans, oversized t-shirt and sandals Book: Bible CD: My favorite Praise & Worship songs
  15. Heidi, a hearty congratulations to your Mom!! Lynn
  16. Jan, congratulations!! I'm so happy for you!! Lynn
