A topic that hit me hard today. Yes, we feel people leaving us out because we are alone and for them security is only in couple, a woman alone is a threat to their well organized life. I'm in a different generation and feel it even worst, I was living in a good place when Mike died, but after four years of pushing aside by people that used to be friends before Mike died I had to move out, finding all kind of reasons with the place when now that I'm gone I find that it was the people that pushed me out because I could be a threat to their couple. I won't see those people anymore but I resent what they did to me. Harder at my age to make friends, not many around in my generation that still enjoy really living. Ry, all answers are so true. Good morning all, Had such a good sleep in my own bed that I feel I'm late posting. I'm grateful for the welcome you gave me, Thank you. Today we have snow, instead of resenting it like before I'm looking at it and it is beautiful white, clean and it hides many bad spots. Grateful for the change this new attitude will give me.......we have winter may as well welcome it, I will save all that negative energy complaining about it to do something useful, need to read the forums and find news about everybody, Lynn did good work keeping me in the news but nothing like reading it first thing in the morning and last at night. Grateful I was able to send prayers and mental good wishes to all, missed my ''family'' while I was in the hospital. Have a good day, week end coming. Love Jackie

I'm back and so grateful to write once more the Gratitude for the day. Today, I'm just grateful to be still alive and back home. I had left the computer on the forum and Lynn was able to bring me news each day, Thank you Lynn. Grateful that Connie is doing well. Had plenty of time to pray for all and did. I was scrapping the bottom of the barrel during the last two weeks, trying to find once small reason to be grateful for a new day, now the barrel is full again. Have a good day. Jackie

Thank you Andrea, All day waiting for news, and good news now. She made it in 45 minues from the heart/lung bypass machine, Connie was looking so much to good breathing and now she has it. Thank you again, will keep the prayers going like everybody else on the forum. Jackie

Party??????? Mike will get there with some Irish drinks and his famous Irish stew........ Don't worry all the dogs will have fun with him his own pets and all those that were already there waiting for him. Thinking of all those gone it is easy to picture the biggest party ever, all healthy and in the mood for a good bash, just closing my eyes and trying to understand their jokes and following their movements, what a merry picture this is. Monday, Start of the working week for many. Grateful today because I can do some volunteer work for a few hours. That will make a welcome change in my dull at home life....... Grateful I was able to clear a path for the car to get out of the shelter, now the shoveling that I used to love doing is hard work.....but we are still waiting for a janitor since October 1st, when you are a tenant you don't have rights in Quebec, all the rights are in the hands of the owners and the law (lease is a contract) so doing my best like the other tenants in the building to survive till we can go to court after the New Year. Grateful because each day with the ''Gratitude'' it is my time for prayers for all and now a special request for Connie and her medical team so all will be fine for her. Have a good day/week and try to enjoy the small things in life. Love to all Jackie

Good morning, The weather is having fun snow storm started during the night, and will continue for another 24 hours. About twenty/thirty inches of snow to fall before ''Mr'' Weather will call it quits, will be a very bad one as the weather will stay cold and no melting in the forecast. Grateful I have plenty of food, drinks, medication and books to last through it, just hope the electricity will keep me warm. Grateful for the good day I had with Lucile, yesterday, she is cheerful and optimistic so the feeling of well being lingers on after a day with her. Have a good day. Teri, Just finished (I hope) with that impossible feeling that I'll never get over the loss of Mike....... and that is after four years, certain dates are worst and when you think you are doing well.....no tears (or dry tears) just a choking feeling that you get without a reason and at weird times. I tried to be good for years, I just hid behind a smiling face, but that is gone now I can't anymore. Just try to pamper yourself for a day and the tears may be there. Hope you will feel better soon and that the calming tears get there with time. Hugs Jackie

Woke up to a beautiful clear sky, after a week of cloudy weather, it is more than welcome. Grateful for all the prayers, wishes you had for me, they worked, the down mood is gone once more. Grateful for one day without a snow storm so will meet my friend Lucille for some light shopping a good meal and plenty of talking, before the big snow storm of Sunday........minimum 20 inches of snow are predicted........ Grateful I have friends that understand that once in a while I need a kick to renew my mood balance. Start of the week end for all, enjoy it, could be quiet or busy but enjoy it, I will. Jackie
