  12. Hi Char: I see that the placebo treatment is a standard first line treatment. I hope your dad gets good results. I also looked up bavacizumab on line. Apparently it is avastin. There are a number of people in this group who have avastin used in combination with other drugs as part of their treatment plan. Don M

    Two Quarts Low

Debi: congratulations on your new grandbaby. I forget stuff all the time just as you described. the dizzy part would scare me though. I guess it must have been from working too hard and not getting enough water. I hope you carry bottles around with you now and keep yourself topped off. Don M
  16. TAnn: I hope you can get past this quickly and start to feel good again. When I was doing chemo, I took milk thistle which is supposed to help the liver. I told my onc about it and he did not seem to mind one way or the other. You might as well ask about and maybe try it. I still take it. Don M
  17. Hi Holly: I think I have the chemo brain thing too. I easily forget names. I have to keep a list hwne I go do errands. I just shrug it off. I am good at remembering numbers, though. Don M
  18. Karen: I hope your husband continues to feel better and does beat the cancer. Don M
  19. Cheryll: I am sorry the doctors don't understand. I guess that shows that they don't know much about personality changes one can go through while suffering from lung cancer. Maybe an oncology social worker would be up to speed on this stuff and can help you and your husband. I hope you get some relief soon. My insurance company had a case mangagement person too. I never took advantage of her services, but maybe you could try that too? Don M
