  1. LCSC Family; I just found out that our first cousin has been diagnosed with LC which has metastisized to her liver and lymph nodes and is unoperable. She will be starting chemo on Monday. She likes her medical team and they sound very aggressive as they are already looking into clinical trials. She beat breast cancer 6 years ago and has a great attitude toward this round. Of course, I told her about this website and have encouraged her to come on over. She was very supportive when Terry (T-Bone) was ill.
  2. Zebra 23% of other will be a higher form of life than I.
  3. Piano. How to keep my mouth shut.
  4. Here's a new game: everybody pitch in 100 pennies for a chance to deck the tech. Then we 25 people have achieved stress release with the tech decking, you can take those 2500 pennies to the nurse to pay your bill. Just a thought.... Fran
  5. It varies but I've been doing a lot of grilling, fish and asparagus mostly, on my George Forman grill. And I do a lot of Lean Cuisines these days. Eat out maybe once or twice a week. And like Ann, when I do grill or cook, I do a lot and put in divided Rubbermaid covered plates for lunches and future dinners. Fran P.S. Oh yeah, I'm back so need to turn in my "Wind in my hair" pass. Had a great time.
  6. Strawberry, Butter Pecan and plain ole chocolate.
  7. Oh, I would never rear-end you, Ry. I'll throw out a tow rope as I pass and pull you along for the ride. By the way, my very first car was a Pinto. Fran
  8. I am a sleek bright red Jaguar XJ7 with a purring well honed 350 HP engine tht goes 0-60 in 'bout 2 seconds flat! Can you guess I'm feeling real good about my 20 lbs weight loss associated with healthy eating and living? I don't think I've ever had the energy I seem to have these days. Increased my work out to three 12 minute miles this morning.
  9. Noooo, Frank, do not, I repeat, do not mention a "to-do" list to a neighbor. I just did that to a new potential significant other since he SAID he liked to do handy jobs, and all of a sudden he got real sick and moved back to Baltimore! So, I built my steps off my back porch by myself this weekend. It was beautiful here in middle Tennessee. Took my little red car out for a spin or two. Breathe all that fresh air folks: BREATHE DEEP!
  10. Mama always said to us as we left the house "Be sweet, pretty, good and nice and behave yourself.". I still hear it even now as I go somewhere and it pretty much sums up how to get along well in life. I also think one of the most wise things she did was to NOT give us a curfew. She told us to use our own judgement. And we knew that we had better use her's if we wanted to keep on using our's!
  11. My constant companion is Little Bit, a rather large cat. While I'm doing my exercises early in the morning she's laying on her back with an expression that says "Hey, Mom, I'll handle the stretching. You take care of the work out part!" What would I do without her? I cannot answer as she's helped me through a divorce and the loss of a brother. She's my "Honey Baby Girl Kitty". Poor cat never knows which name to answer to.
  12. Good Morning, All; One note: chasing the vinegar (acid) with milk may negate the benefits of the acid as milk is on the alkaline side of neutral pH. That's why milk seems to ease acid indigestion. If you can do it straight with no chasers, probably best. Of course, I've not tried it yet so will probably be looking for anything to chase it with if it tastes that bad.
  13. Yea! Java! The person below me has some really cool plans for the weekend.
  14. A week ago today, with color to boot! The person below me has a cat sitting in their lap.
  15. Yea! Finally one I can respond to: Yep, wearing blue jeans. The person below me has a hot date tonight.
  16. Driving in Atlanta. The most daring thing is SCUBA diving.
  17. I was born in Americus, GA because we didn't have a hospital in Buena Vista. Americus is 9 miles from Plains, GA, home of Jimmy Carter. All my family except TeeTaa (a sister) and me still live in our little town pretty much w/in "yellin' distance" of Mama.
  18. My hometown, Buena Vista, Georgia is the home of Josh Gibson. I believe he spent his pre=teen years there. There was an eccentric old gentleman there who lived behind me that I was told was his cousin. American history is a wondrous study. I do so hate that it is segregated. Thanks for sharing with us.
  19. I'm a couple of days late BUT: I met Carguy for breakfast in Chattanooga on my way to Atlanta! He's a real nice guy, folks. Really tall (6'5"), red head, deep baritone voice. We looked kinda funny as I'm real short (5'3". Was great finally meeting somebody from the board. He's doing well and waiting with abated breath for his results. Then drove on to Atlanta to play board games with "my guys". They surprised me with a birthday cake, I whupped up on 'em in the games, went to dinner. It was a great day all around. Fran
  20. Welcome, Fran. I'm a dotter but not to a cancer patient. I was however sista to one. Oh yeah, my name is Fran, too, and have often used Frantastic! Fran
  21. Hollyanne, Wanta swap? I've got a 2002 Olds Bravada SUV! Since I just bought my "mid-life crisis car", a bright red 1968 Datsun 2000 Roadster, I really don't know what else. But if pressed, I guess I would say a 1950's Woody. Fran
  22. 21 Campbell's soup can No smoking sign (can't believe I got that one wrong!) Book pages (and I'm an avid reader, no less) Pencil sides (haven't used one in a long time) Fran
