    Hey everyone, please, please, please, pray for my good friend who just found out that she will be deployed for Iraq on Sept. 18th. Shes in the Illinois National Guard on Inactive Duty, and never saw this coming! Shes so scared, and my best friend (who joined the army with her) just had a newborn baby and is in her same troop. Shes terrified that she will be recieving that certified letter.... Please, your strongest prayers...were all in shock!

    OK...Update...Good news and some "im not so sure how bad it really is news..."

    Good news first...

    Dad got the official notice today...NED!!! :D:D:D

    Even his tumor and surrounding tissue was dead. No cancer in the lymphnodes at all. Great, Great, Great!!!

    Now,

    My dad went to the surgeon today and he told him that he has air and fluid trapped in his chest, and he is looking at more surgery real soon to get rid of it. Also, his windpipe is blocked, either by an infection, or maybe something having to do with the surgery, there not sure. So...has anyone heard of any of this??? Im not sure how bad this is, or even if it is TRULY bad...

    Any input would be greatly appreciated ASAP... my dad has chewed off all his fingernails, and is working on the nubs! :wink:

    Ok girls... I leave for one day...and you guys remember all the good shows!!!!

    Do you guys remember that show with the little robot girl named Vicky who did all kind of crazy s**t??? She had a brother named Jamie...

    And to top it off... Lisa Lisa and the Cult Jam... "OOh baby I think I love ya...from head to toe!"

    I think that the max amount of radiation is given to a certain "spot". Not 100% sure, but I think they can do it in other places.

    I also think they will try putting your mom on some med's. My dad hasent needed any this far, so as far as what they will put her on... I dont know.

    Candy, So sorry that you are in a funk...but what better to bring you out than a beautiful baby girl! Congrats to that, and if she gets you out of this...you will know there is more than one reason that she was born. Maybe God is sending you a gift! Who can be in a slump with a new baby grandaughter around???

    Dont have any answers for you, just thought Id drop a line to say Good Luck and I hope it works! Ive never hears of Ridalin for adults, and it working opposite is weird! Wonder how that works! Either way though, if it works... who cares???

    Oh, I hope it works too! A break from chemo can be a good thing. My dad waited 10 weeks between chemo and surgery, and we were scared to death about regrowth or new growth, so I know what your going through. Nothing came up with my dad though, and hopefully none with yours. You have my BEST wishes comin your way...

    Ok...

    Now I want to go to Boss Hogs ranch too!! My husband already thinks Im a weirdo, so I know he wont be coming along, but I have just the friend to go with... when my kids are old enough to care for themselves (cant trust steve with the child rearing thing)...

    Oh, and let me say this... the blond one was the cutest one! And I do think they were Bo and Luke although I dont know which is which. Maybe thats who I named my son after (Luke)...never could remember where I came up with the name... I think in a dream... a dream that involved a countryboy with a cool car...HAHAHA :lol:

    Oh... and Fran... DY-NO-MYTE! Id forgotten all about that...yet another on my list JJ was the best!

    I dont know how I never heard about that before. My dad didnt have it, but I dont think he got "all that much" chemo compared to others. Just once a week for an hour each time for 8 weeks. Dont think my dad would have liked it much anyway.

    Im such an 80s dork that Im kindof sad that I missed an 80s crazed party. Like I said before, I may be thinking of an 80s inspired end of summer BBQ, but well see.
