  1. Thanks Karen. We are with you and your mom, Lori. Praying for success in the surgery and a speedy recovery. Love and Prayers, Sue
  2. Marilyn, Thanks for sharing. I hope to be sharing this good news with you for many years to come. God Bless, Sue
  3. Kasey, I "get it"..... lol I just want to report that today is better than yesterday. Mike is eating well. He only had a temp of 99.6 this eve.. not hardly a temp. Overall, he says he is feeling better. The doc called today to check up on him and Mike told him he was much better. .. Overall, it was a good day. We will take it one day at a time and be thankful for the good ones. Thank you Kasey and everyone . Love and Prayers to all, Sue
  4. Oh Holly, I am so very sorry . I'm so glad you could be with her and she was able to see her grandbaby, but it seems this happened so fast. Prayers to you and your family. Love, Sue
  5. Welcome Patti and Emiller, My heart goes out to both of you. I would just like to say that your moms are so very blessed to have you . I can't even begin to imagine what it must be like to be caregiver of someone with both of these debilitating diseases. My thoughts and prayers are with you both. Sue
  6. Martha , I am so sorry you are going through this. Only thing I would advise you to do is accept and reach out and take any and all the help you can. If you don't have hospice, you might want to look into it. I don't personally have experience with them, but many here have said how helpful they can be. I will be keeping you and your family in my thoughts and prayers. Sue
  7. Andrea, It has been my experience that when things were serious or of concern, the message tended to be less instead of more. So many times, I have hung on to every word and like you said.... found I was being paranoid.. Try to enjoy the rest of your weekend. Love, Sue
  8. Welcome Lynda, We are glad you found us. My best advice to you is to take it one day at a time. It's not always easy , but once you have all the facts and a plan of treatment it gives you a breath of hope and a new focus. Keep in touch and know that we are here for you. Sue
  9. Fay, You are allowed . I'm so sorry you have gotten such rotten news. I'm praying that the chemo will be the answer. You are one of the strongest people I know and I just know that come Monday morning it will be business as usual for you. Sending you a hug and a couple tears as you face the next hurdle. Love and Prayers, Sue
  10. Thank you everyone... Well, we never heard back from the doctor , but as the day wore on Mike began to feel better in spite of it all. For days he hasn't felt like doing anything or answering email. This afternoon he actually started to feel more alive . We just pray it continues. This disease brings with it so many problems along the way... we all can only take it one day at a time and pray for the best , but it sure helps to have a caring bunch of people here to help. Love all of you. Thank you for being there for us. Will let you know tomorrow how things are. Was just in chat and got to speak to Frank... and several others. It was really nice. Hope to see more of you there next time. Love, Sue
  11. Just a brief update on Mike. He is just not bouncing back from all he has been through these past few weeks. At present he just wants to sleep a a lot, has no energy, a cough and very little appetite. We just had him to the pulmonologist on Thursday for a follow up and told him that the Levaquin he put him on when he left the hospital didn't seem to work. He is still coughing and feeling rotten. He put him on Augmentin and said in two days he should be better. It's two days later and he still has no energy, coughing and low grade fever. Mike put in a call to the doctor and we are waiting to hear from him. I hate weekends, as it leaves me feeling so far away from help. In the meantime, we would appreciate your prayers. I'm just beside myself at this point and really falling apart this time. I'm paralyzed with fear. Thanks for listening. Love, Sue
  12. (((Denise))), I am so very sorry. May be God be with you. Love and Prayers, Sue
