To jog your memory, she was on the board last summer about her dad, who was diagnosed with stage III and looking for someone to do surgery. They are from Chicago, so I recommended she contact the surgeon who took care of me, and long story short, they did, he had surgery and was doing fine. She let me know that he died recently, not from the cancer, but from a heart attack. He had just seen our surgeon the week before and had a clean bill of health in terms of the cancer. She was reluctant to post again because it's been so long since she's been on the boards, but asked me to send out one PM and possibly post something in this section. Her avatar was a photo of her pug with an Uncle Sam hat. Really cute! So, there's the news. I hate to be the bearer of the sad stuff, but for those of you who remember her, she was very involved in the care of her dad, and he was a cancer survivor.
