kim Posted September 27, 2005 Share Posted September 27, 2005 For those who have read my post in prayers, I have found out what Drew's condition is called. It's pleural blastoma. It's in the pleural lining of the lung. It is VERY rare, only 50 known cases world wide. His oncologist only knows of 1 child living past the age of 5 yrs. His mom said he is a trooper. Had right upper lobe removed and did very well. He is going through chemo like a champ. He has even been chasing his sister around the house she said. I can't imagine what that little boy and his parents must be going through It's heartbreaking, the very thought of seeing a little 2 year old child getting chemo when I was taking mine makes me feel ashamed for ever compaining.
