Ann
When does a crisis get to you the most? During or after it is over?
Ry
After-- definitely. I have been through situations where I've had to do CPR, and once had to do the Heimlich on someone in a restaurant and as soon as it is over I crumble.
ginnyde
During for sure, if it impacts my life. I am ok when it is for a stranger or acquantaince.
J.C.
A few years ago, crisis were nothing to me just usual daily things, and some were very bad, like the farm tractor blowing up and Mike was sitting on it.....the roof blew of the house in winter, a tornado tore huge trees and they went down on the barn during the winter and the beef were all in+++++ ice storm of 1998 when Quebec was out of electricity for a month in January, no heat or water, we were fine all through those. Now alone I get in pieces during and after very small crisis. Jackie after,
Larry
Don't know if i've ever been in a Crisis as for some reason when everyone else is acting nut's or scared i seem to just naturally shut down and become unemotional......
dchurchi
After. I am usually able to handle things as they happen, then when I have time to think about the situation I was in, it hits me.

Ann
I usually am able to keep my wits during a crisis but then, I completely fall to pieces and turn into the world's biggest basket case. When my boys were little and would get injured, I was a nut case both during AND after the crisis.
Kaffie
After for sure, but like Ann when it comes to the kids, that's different
Geri
If I'm the only one there to handle the crisis I usually manage okay and then fall apart. If there's someone else there to cope as well it's a different matter, that's a falling apart during situation for sure.
Welthy
I'm okay with the big stuff, sometimes afterwards I have minor meltdowns. It's the little stuff that throws me totally into the frenzy zone. Debi
