mamasbabygirl Posted September 19, 2007 Share Posted September 19, 2007 I spoke to Bob yesterday and Karen is stable. I did find out that the radiation burns (from CK) to the brainstem are what is causing the problem, not just the vocal cords. When they tried to remove the vent, things went haywire, so back she went to the vent. If she stays stable, they will be moving her to a rehab unit to try to get her off of the vent.
