Guest hearrean
Well, good news from the Onc at MD Anderson this past Friday. The IMRT treatments + concurrent chemo did work! There was significant shrinkage in the primary mass + nodes. (As to the primary mass, what started out the size of a plum is now about the size of a pea). He did tell me this scan was actually a little premature since I had just completed radiation (2) days prior, so he will set up another CT scan for 6 weeks from now since the radiation is still working in my body. I asked him if I should be having add'l chemo during this time, but he said it wouldn't be necessary as it probably wouldn't affect anything this soon. (He did tell me though that I had a 25% chance at a cure). So for now, I am totally excited about the news.. Ken

SandraL
I think you have good reason to be excited. And I agree, the benefits from radiation can take awhile to unfold. I am still getting more positive results from radiation months later. Hope you have continued good reports.
