Bob got results from bone scan..

and it was strange I guess. Said that there is a compressed fracture, and they are not sure if there is also a tumor, but he is getting an appt. with an orthopedic surgeon for a biopsy of this area of the spine. Not sure when that will take place. He is on 100mg of duragesic patch and also vicodin. Will update when we know a bit more. It has been 8 weeks since the onset of this pain. He also has a 9.5 PSA, which they are not dealing with right now, but will probably biopsy that soon too.

Seems to me the dx is desparately needed here.

I'm so sorry he has so much pain. Its too bad the Dr's don't seem to want to find out in a hurry and do something! It is so frustrating to say the least. I hope the patches are working for him. My husband ended up taking 400's of the patches! Now thats a lot, but the bone pain is the worst. I am so sad for your good friend.

Oh I sure hope Bob can get the drs to figure out his problems. I hope his pain is being controlled...will pray a bit harder for him...
