  1. Hi Addie, Sounds like you have a right to that margarita to me! Prayers for continued improvement on that blood count, and for that butt kicking to come fast!!!! love nell
  2. Wanted to let you all know you are still in my thoughts and prayers. I haven't posted much except to reply once in awhile, but I read most days. Things are as well as can be expected for Jo and us. She has bad days and reasonably good ones, but misses Bob terribly as do we. It's good that spring is here and she is busy with her yard and such. Strenth for the fight!! Love Nell
  3. I am so sorry for your loss, Randi.

  12. Praying for you, Fay! Why people act that way is beyond me, but they are certainly exhausting to say the least! Love Nell
  13. Hi Angie, Bob had that glimpse of heaven too! We all wished we could see what he was looking at, since it was so obvious there was something. He actually said "WOW". It's good to hear from you. Love Nell
  14. Oh crap, I hate this for you . My heart feels so heavy to hear this news, and you surely are in my prayers. Love Nell
  15. I just wish I knew what to do to help her. She is with us a lot of the time, and we spend every single Saturday evening with her since we always spent that night with them anyhow. The thing is, she looks like she has aged 10 years to me, and she is so fragile. Tell me if any of you know what might help. She says all her life memories are of Bob and her, and that she feels this horrible cutting pain most days, and it swamps her like a wave coming from behind her. She went to Ohio to visit her daughter for Easter, and that is a good thing, but she is sick with stomach flu there, and her daughter says she is going through the first trip without him, first holiday without him, first time type stuff too. Just guess I needed to say we are very concerned about her and we miss Bob so very much. Thanks for listening Love Nell
  16. Peggy, So glad to hear there won't be anything to wreak havoc with how well he has been doing symptom wise. Prayers coming your way for continued good life quality, it's the most important I think. Love Nell
  17. Congrats on your milestone and may you have many more. Prayers coming your way. Love Nell
  18. Awww Curtis, she is so sweet, and you really must be a great Daddy since as everyone has said, she looks very happy. She is sure growing up too. What a beauty. Love Nell
  19. Wow, Cindi, this doc sounds great, and I am so glad she is yours!! When someone pays this close attention you know they care and are committed to getting you the best help to get well. Love Nell
  20. Peggy Dear, You have a wonderful outlook, and you are right, things could be worse. For one thing the fact that your hubby is feeling fairly well is great, and I sure pray that you will get some real wisdom from the onc. on meds and treatment, and that your sweetie gets to do his thing this spring. He is blessed to have you. Love Nell
  21. Hi Bev, And welcome! We'll make sure to pour an extra cup tomorrow morning! My grand daughter is engaged (almost) to a children's pastor on Long Island. He lives in Center Moriches I think. Hope we may encourage you and give you support anytime you need it. Nell
  22. Bill, What wonderful news, and oh how we needed it! We would have treasured even one more day with Bob walking and talking. Praying there will be many more for you and your wife. Love Nell
  23. I am so glad you are all in my life. I feel like I have seen first hand what you go through, and your courage inspires me more than I can ever say. As for Jo, she is doing as well as can be expected, I think, good moments and bad ones. Me too. We celebrated Bob's 77th birthday on Friday with Jo, Art and I and their kids. We second guess ourselves on if there was more we should have done or more we should have tried, but ultimately, Bob is in a better place, and we miss him but don't wish him back in that awful battle. He was a dear friend and he leaves a big hole in all of our lives with his abcense. We are finding things to remember and laugh about and we are careful to make sure our loved ones know we love them every day. It makes ya think, doesn't it? Praying for us all ( as Tbone always said) Love Nell
  24. Hi Beth, I just saw your post from last night. Hoping and praying things are better today and that tonight is a better night Love Nell
