    Dancing with God

Dancing With God When I meditated on the word Guidance, I kept seeing "dance" at the end of the word. I remember reading that doing God's will is a lot like dancing. When two people try to lead, nothing feels right. The movement doesn't flow with the music, and everything is quite uncomfortable and jerky. When one person realizes that, and lets the other lead, both bodies begin to flow with the music. One gives gentle cues, perhaps with a nudge to the back or by pressing Lightly in one direction or another. It's as if two become one body, moving beautifully. The dance takes surrender, willingness, and attentiveness from one person and gentle guidance and skill from the other. My eyes drew back to the word Guidance. When I saw "G: I thought of God, followed by "u" and "i". "God, "u" and "i" dance." God, you, and I dance. As I lowered my head, I became willing to trust that I would get guidance about my life. Once again, I became willing to let God lead. My prayer for you today is that God's blessings and mercies be upon you on this day and everyday. May you abide in God as God abides in you. Dance together with God, trusting God to lead and to guide you through each season of your life This prayer is powerful and there is nothing attached. If God has done anything for you in your life, please share this message with someone else, for prayer is one of the best gifts we can receive. There is no cost but a lot of rewards; so let's continue to pray for one another. And I Hope You Dance!!!!!!!!

  4. I know how hard it must be for you to feel that there is nothing you can do to help your family right now. As hard as it may be, we sometimes have to listen to our loved ones and allow them to decide how to proceed with their treatment. Your FIL sounds like a very active person that enjoys life. Many treatment plans can really wear the patient down and all but destroy their quality of life. At the age of 81, I think I would be looking for quality more than quantity of life. It's amazing how some people decide to discontinue chemotherapy and seem to feel like living again. I know how hard this must be for your family. I'll be saying prayers.

So glad to see we have so many strong voices among us!!!

    The Goose Story

I read this and thought this was appropriate for our little family from this board. THE GOOSE STORY Next Autumn, when you see Geese Heading South for the winter flying along in V formation You might consider what we have discovered As to Why they fly that Way. As each bird flaps its wings, it creates uplift for the bird immediately following. By flying in V formation the whole flock adds at least 71% greater flying range, than if each bird flew on its own. PEOPLE WHO SHARE A COMMON DIRECTION AND SENSE OF COMMUNITY CAN GET WHERE THEY ARE GOING MORE QUICKLY AND EASILY BECAUSE THEY ARE TRAVELLING ON THE THRUST OF ONE ANOTHER. When a goose falls out of formation it suddenly feels the drag and resistance of trying to go it alone and quickly gets back into formation to take advantage of the lifting power of the bird in front. IF WE HAVE AS MUCH SENSE AS A GOOSE WE WILL STAY IN FORMATION WITH THOSE WHO ARE HEADED THE SAME WAY AS WE ARE. When the goose gets tired it rotates back in the wings and another goose flies point. IT IS SENSIBLE TO TAKE TURNS DOING DEMANDING JOBS WITH PEOPLE OR WITH GEESE FLYING SOUTH. Geese honk from behind to encourage those up front to keep up their speed. WHAT DO WE SAY WHEN WE HONK FROM BEHIND? Finally, and this is important, when a goose gets sick, or is wounded by gunshots and falls out of formation, two other Geese fall out with that Goose and follow it down to lend help and protection. They stay with the fallen Goose until it is able to fly or until it dies and only then do they launch out on their own or with formation to catch up with their group. IF WE HAVE THE SENSE OF A GOOSE WE WILL STAND BY EACH OTHER LIKE THAT.
