Carleen, I'm speechless. My heart is aching and bleeding reading your post. My husband too was doing so well 2 weeks before he died. This disease can take U turn in a blink of an eye. He caught pneumonia and with only one lung working, his poor body just gave up. I hate this disease very much. I'm praying for you both. Love, Malou

Those darn doctors told my husband the same thing. I grab his collar and pointed him to the door. I told him please don't rob him of his little hope he has left. He walked away. I never cried infront of my husband in the past 16 months, but on his last day on earth, when he was still alert and coherent, I screamed so loud infront of him at the hospital and he hugged me and said baby I am not going anywhere so hush hush. Thank all so very much for your support and comforting words. I too am in shock. Thomas put up a big fight. He caught pneumonia and with only one functioning lung, his poor body just gave up. His cancer was pretty much contained and stable and there not even distant mets. His left lung however was so full of cancer. The doctor said he died of pneumonia not cancer. It was so hard and ripped my heart out to see my husband in his last hour. All the children and grandchildren and close family and friends were there holding his hands. The pain on his face was too much for us to bear. I ordered to intubate him, but he did not make through the process. God called him, and I have to let go. I can only pray that my sick heart will heal. I am a walking and talking zombie, but I will be fine by the grace of the lord. Thank you all very much from the bottom of my heart. Hello my LCSC family. I am still not well emotionally but would like to let every single one of you that I could not have made it this far without you all. It was heart a wrenching battle watching my husband going down every day. I know the day was coming when he will be called by our Master Planner, but I never excepted it to be this soon. His last hour was too painful to watch. He was grasping for wind and was put on bi pap machine, I finally ordered to put him in respirator but he did not even make it. His time on earth was up. I thank every single one of you and pray every single minute that God will take this disease on the face of the earth. I love you all. God Bless. Malou

Thomas Parkinson my beloved husband passed away on Sunday morning @4:50 a.m. May 21, 2006. My heart is bleeding and I'm in shock. Please for our family and me to carry on. Love to all fighting this beast. Malou

Thomas takes Folic, B12, B6, & L-Glutamine. Completed 6 rounds of Taxotere and so far blood counts are borderline. I think it might be helping a little bit. With this beast, you just won't know. A good thing can make turn in a blink of an eye. Ask you PCP if B12 shots weekly is appropriate. Thomas get a B-12 shots from his PCP every Friday. God Bless Malou

Thanks for sharing. Very sad and makes me cry. Letters like this should be send to all medical school all over the world and be studied on how doctors should treat their patient. A Simple return phone call would make a difference in a dying person.
