Hi all. Had my MRI of brain which showed “significant reduction of lesion”. Also had CT of chest/abdomen/pelvis which showed stable lung nodule and adrenal gland nodule so I am good for the next 3 months and can go to Hawaii on vacation the end of next month. Woo hoo!

Hi Angelina. I also am a SCLC patient and did basically the same treatment as you except the preventive brain radiation. I did not develop neuropathy so really have no advice. My mother had it in her hands and feet and was on lyrica which helped a little. I too have insomnia and have had a sleep study which showed mild sleep apnea. I am going to get a cpap machine and will see if that helps. I will pray for good results with your pet scan. Sorry I’m not much help. You have come to the right place thou. There are awesome people on this forum and I’m sure someone will be able to give you advice. Keep us informed.

Hi all…had my gamma knife procedure done yesterday. They did an MRI of my brain first to have the most recent scan to map out treatment. Met to right temporal lobe was basically the same but they also found a small met on the top of my brain so they treated that as well. Will have a repeat brain MRI on Jan 10th. I guess nail biting and fingers crossed for good results until then.

Hi all. Just an update. I went for MRI of my brain on Oct 11th and it showed a new 5mm deposit on my right temporal lobe. I had a 3mm deposit on my left temporal lobe last year in Oct which was treated on Nov 7th 2022 with gamma knife which zapped it. I am scheduled for gamma knife ironically on Nov 7th (what are the odds!) to take care of this new one. I hope it is as successful as the other. The Dr has put me on keppra as a precaution til the gamma knife. I also had CT of lung/abdomen/pelvis which shows stability of nodules in lung and adrenal gland.
Still stable

Hi all…had my 3 month brain mri and ct scan of chest/abdomen/pelvis done. On the mri where I had gamma knife in November, there was a slight increase of lesion but still within the treatment area so radiologist is confident it is just some swelling. The ct showed stability, so I am good for the next 3 months I guess.
