OK so just got back from the doctor's and was told there was signs that the cancer is coming back she will start tagrisso hopefully tomorrow after she gets results from her ecg. Would love stories of your experience with tagrisso and also stories of experience with a recurrence and how it was dealt with

Hey guys so my mom has an appointment tomorrow to talk about her starting target therepy I'm fairly certain. She has stage 3b egfr mutation non smoker and completed her chemoradiation last year and stopped immunotherapy after one month as she couldn't handle it. Her scan after treatment showed that the tumors in her lung shrunk to a point where you cam barley see it but had another scan and found something odd in the lungs. She also had pain in ger lower back and legs where doctors thought it was just a nerve and would heal on her own but after having another CT scan 2 months later found out there was a tumor pinching on her sciatic nerveband had a 1 time radiation last week to shrink it so it doesn't touch the nerve. She now has a appt with her doctor to talk about next steps and mentioned she would be taking a pill. I'm fairly certain it will be target therepy as she is egfr positive so I wanted to hear urbguys story with target therepy to help me calm down and if you had target therepy after chemoradiation. My mom is 1 year into this disease and hoping for many more

How long after ur first treatment did u get ur second form of radiation thanks! Also how bad was it for u for the second as did u go away 

Hey guys so my mom is having her 1 time radiation today because theybfound that there was a tumor on her sciatic nerve. The tumor is pressing on the sciatic nerve causing pain. She will also talk to another doctor about starting target therepy as she is egfr positive. Anyone else had a tumor grow on their sciatic nervem

Few days ago she had a CT scan and today was told they found something very small that they couldn't identify but ordered another CT scan. Here comes the scanziety again. Most stressful time was during the unknown. My question was has anyone found something small during a followup and ended up being nothing?

Had anyone else's lungs shrunk after treatment? Idunno if I misunderstood my mom but she told me the doctors said her lungs shrunk? When I see her ill ask for more clarity but wanted to see if that is a normal thing?

My mum spoke to her oncologist about her results of the CT scan and she's still clear! No changes. She's still NED. Next scan at the end of March. My mum is coming up to three years since her diagnosis. It will be her 3rd year cancerversary in Feb!

Good news doctor called and said that it shrunk! I don't know the full details yet but it shrunk!! They did find a blood clot near her ovary but doctor said nothing to worry about. My question now Is what's next after a tumor shrunk is it a wait and see thing? My mom has a meeting with her radiation specialist next Friday to see about her cough that's still there

Hey guys my mom stage 3b had her first scan since treatment she did 2 rounds of chemo and 30 days of radiation  she did immunotherepy for 1 round but couldn't do another as the  side effect was too much. I'm scared for her scan but hopeful it has shrunk rather than spread. She is egfr exon 19 positive which hopefully can be a blessing inthe future. Was hoping to get your guys positive first scan after treatment stories

They were all bcca everytime she has an appt with her 1st oncologist she would never be there and send another doctor the 3rd time that happened she asked to speak to her first one because there's been so many different opinions but we will see after her scan and hope for the best

My mom asked 3 different doctors and they said the same thing except 1 saying she doesn't know y she's doing immuno the other 2 said the same thing they'll treat it woth target if it comes back which is weird to me but canada seems a little flawed due to free health care system
