  1. Belly lipo. no doubt about it. I wish Walmart would figure out how to automate it so all ya have to do is walk up to a suction tube, insert and be done with it. Maybe buy some new underwear and a rotisserie chicken on the way out.
  2. Doing the Happy Dance for TAnn! MAn, I love to dance! I love good news. Way to go , TAnn!!
  3. I think the Decadron is the culprit for the personality change. My prayers are with you and hang in there. The WBR will be over soon.

    WHY?

Why do we press harder on a remote control when we know the batteries are getting weak? Why do banks charge a fee for "insufficient funds" when they know there is not enough? Why does someone believe you when you say there are four billion stars but check when you say the paint is wet? Why doesn't glue stick to the bottle? Why do they use sterilized needles for death by lethal injection? Why doesn't Tarzan have a beard? Why does Superman stop bullets with his chest, but ducks when you throw a revolver at him? Why do Kamikaze pilots wear helmets? Whose idea was it to put an "S" in the word "lisp"? If people evolved from apes, why are there still apes? Why is it that no matter what color bubble bath you use the bubbles are always white? Is there ever a day that mattresses are not on sale? Why do people constantly return to the refrigerator with hopes that something new to eat will have materialized? Why do people keep running over a string a dozen times with their vacuum cleaner, then reach down, pick it up, examine it, then put it down to give the vacuum one more chance? Why is it that no plastic bag will open from the end on your first try? How do those dead bugs get into those enclosed light fixtures? When we are in the supermarket and someone rams our ankle with a shopping cart then apologizes for doing so, why do we say, "It's all right?" Well, it isn't all right, so why don't we say, "That hurt, you stupid idiot?" Why is it that whenever you attempt to catch something that's falling off the table you always manage to knock something else over? In winter why do we try to keep the house as warm as it was in summer when we complained about the heat? Why don't you ever hear father-in-law jokes?

  7. Dad, just dealt with one. It caused his whole arm to swell very big. It hurt to lift...pinched a nerve. It was fine when he was still. He had IV heparin and now has lovenox injections. He was in the hospital for a week. They wanted to make sure it did not travel. THey did sonograms to evalluate its size. THey take a awhile to resolve. Good luck, Much love, eppie
  8. Happy Happy Thanksgiving to all and many prayers to all on this wonderful message board! Still dancing and senting praises out to the cyberuniverse. Shrinkage is good. eppie
  9. I just saw a prelim report and had visit with Daddy's onc----the news is 30% shrinkage on the largest tumor. I will get copies of the report and look at it more thoroughly. GOod News! Also, this is with chemo at less that full strenghth. The Onc says he had to scale back because during radiation he was sick and also had a blood clot. But thinking that he has had about 6 rounds at less than full strenghth is encouraging. In January he will be started on a different chemo drug. The ONc is not sure which or what...Abraxane was mentioned. I haven't researched this but I think it is used in Breast Cancer. http://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/465645 Everybunny join hands for the Shrinkage Dance!! Put your right hand in Put your right hand out!!!.... Shake the shrinkage all about. Dad wants to go to the gym and get on the treadmill. GO fishing. Hugs of healing all around. Eppie
  10. Hang in there kid. We're all rootin fer ya! The way you kick a@# Texas Style is admirable. Don't let anyone tell ya different! Eppie
  11. I wish I could do chocolate ice cream but I have Chrohns, too. Totally under control and mostly in remission. I appreciate the encouraging words. I am packing and organizing tonight cuz I fly out tomorrow. Hubs will be MR. Mom to our 10 and 8yr.olds. My MIL is great and lives up the block. We'll get through this. I am glad you are closer to your mom, esp. when she needs you. In fact a good nights sleep really helps eat through the worry. Just a day closer to hearing about the results. IT's just that I want positive results so badly. I consider myself fortunate to have such a great supportive husband and a job with the freedom to get down to Texas. Not everyone is so lucky. Much love to all, eppie
  12. I think the issue of calling the shots is a very valid one. Every day is what we make of it and I admire Brian so much for his strength of spirit through this. I have love and healing thoughts for you both and as many prayers as I know you said last night....that should suffice for this morning's church. A church of two surrounded by all of the prayers of the people here who love you. The people in your church know what you are going through. Don't be afraid to call them and let them know what you need. I've baked cookies and casseroles enough to know how much they are appreciated. Hugs, Eppie
  13. Cindy, I am a cat lover too but seems like i only have love for that one special cat and not every cat can capture my heart but my one only true cat....my first ever cat was MIJA. Which means "daughter" in Spanish. She was my kitty for 18 years. She left this world 3 years ago and will be forever remembered. So I vowed that I would love the cat that wanted to love me. I would not seek this cat. I knew he/she would find me and it has happened. Jack the River Cat adopted our family this summer. He was the neighbor's cat but likes living with us better. (The neighbor has 7 cats and really only does a marginal job of caring for them. the only drawback is that before we could get Jack "fixed" he fathered a litter of kitties with his "Wife", Sweet MArizpan. The wife and kids are frequent visitors. And in the case of Lewis Black Cat, an addtional mouth we have to feed. He's our Jack with his son, Lewis BlackCat[/img]

  16. Dad says yesterday the ct tech saw fluid in his lung. I have worries. "What if what if" kind of worries. Since he had the efflusions before...does their reappearence mean cancer is spreading? Please chime in. I hate Scans on FRidays---the weekend waiting is driving me crazy. He doesn't report any SOB. HE says he feels pretty good. I just called his house and spoke to my mom...I could hear his booming laugh from the other room. My cousin was over visiting and everything seems fine. I hate Cancer and I hate being far away. I will see him Tueday and stay for a week. I can't wait. I went to chiropracter today for an adjustment. God, did it feel good. My neck was so outta whack it felt like i couldn't breathe. I will do yoga tomorrow and work on my breathing for relaxation. Too much Stress! _________________
