  1. X-Ray Specs Don, Union Jack is a flag! You mean Union Gap.
  2. Isn't Life Strange?
  3. So sorry you have to be here. I hope this site can be a sanctuary for you and your husband. I know the helpless feeling of watching a loved one in a battle for their life. My wife has been battling SCLC and even though she has beaten back the beast, I cry often, thinking about all that she has gone through. It's just unfair! Hopefully, the treatment regimen for your husband will keep on with the shrinkage. Many here have had lesions zapped off the map, also. Best wishes, Kim & Bev
  4. Lead On, Joanie, Lead on!
  5. Jessica- It is very evident from your posts that you are a very caring daughter. Your proactiveness will help your mother tremendously. And you're getting through the toughest part now. It's not easy, but it gets better. Many have been through this and emerged to continue on with their lives. Keep doing what you're doing. There will be plenty of tears and fears, but stay strong and she will prevail. Good luck!
  6. Dennis- My wife got the same diagnosis the day before Cheryl did. I really feel for you. So sorry.
  7. "Samba Pa Ti"- so beautiful and so sad. Our condolences. Kim & Bev
  8. Fantastic! That is good news. Keep it going!
  9. Wow! I can't wait to get home and get to work!
  10. This must be so distressing for you, Kasey. It's a terrible thing, this disease. We're hoping she will prevail over this. One thing for sure, having an Aunt Kasey in your corner can only bode well. Kim & Bev
  11. These are tough! 1. Levon 6. Harry (NY Minute) 8. Leroy Brown? 10. Mr. Bo Jangles
  12. Sorry for all you are going through, but you've found a good place here. Many here have gotten the same diagnosis/ prognosis and turned things around. It sounds like your wife has the strength to endure the effects of the treatments. The treatments do work. One of the mottoes of this site is "Reject Statistics"! I hope you can get some breathing room and perservere. Don't give up. There is definitely hope. The people here will give it to you.
  13. Dear Eppie- We are saddened to hear this. Our condolences to you and your family. Kim & Bev
  14. Hi, Beckie Welcome to a great support site. Your post had me riveted. The love in your family is very evident and well expressed. I think it is one of several things in your favor. It's a tough time getting through treatments, but it sounds like there is reason for a lot of hope with your Mother. Here's to better days,
  15. Karen & Rich- Our condolences to you. It's good that you were there for him.

  18. Welcome, Kris- Small Cell responds well to chemo. It's a tough battle, but doable. My wife and many others are surviving it.
  19. I'm not sure if I dreamt this, but apparently there's a new movie coming out called Thank You For Smoking. It seems to be a comedy about cigarettes. Anyone else see the commercial or was it just a nightmare?
  20. Thomas & Malou- Attitude is a great weapon. I hope it continues to lead you to victory.
  21. Wow! Nothing like being welcomed by some of the big guns. Thanks! I'll be talking with you.
  22. Greetings! My name is Kim. I am Bev from Long Island's husband. I love this site! I've been reading daily for a year now. I've learned a lot. Not only about LC, but also about living. To all of you on the front lines of this war, you have my utmost respect. I now know what courage really is. Bev showed me, too. Many of your stories I've followed closely. And I've cried a lot, too, over what you/we go through. And the survivors are awesome! There is hope. That's what this site can inspire. You are all very important to the spiritual and mental aspects of this battle. You make a difference in people's lives. Thank you!
