Tim and I are having our 20th on July 6, but he will be recovering from his lung surgery, so I'm not sure what we'll be able to do. Maybe dinner out if he's up to it. Annie

I'm so glad your L/C was found early, but as you can see by some of the other posts, staging can change as time progresses. I don't mean to scare you, but be sure to stay on top of this and make sure there is no spread. Your tumor sure sounnds small, so I hope your finished with this completely. I've been to Crestline and it is sure pretty. My sister lived in Big Bear Lake for about 10 years. Annie

Len, So sorry you have to go through this and at such a young age. Boy, sometimes life is just unfair. Lots of great advice has been given to you by the rest of the gang. Once you start treatment you will feel more positive; it's like finally knowing the enemy and being able to roll up your sleeves and fight. Good luck and we're praying for a good outcome. Annie
  13. Shannon & Mike, More good news!! Sure is nice to give the good news instead of the bad news. Waiting for more with baited breath!! Annie
  14. Shannon, So glad to hear Mike is doing better. The people on the board are praying so hard for you both that God can't help but listen. We'll keep them coming!! Annie
  15. Chris, That is good news. I know the treatments can be scary, but it's actually more scary when they are done and your not doing anything to actively fight. My husband had chemo and radiation at the same time and came through it with flying colors. Hope things go as well for you. Annie
  16. Steve, I agree with everyone else. Second opinion (and maybe third) by a good onc at a cancer center. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain. You will find the best people in the world here, they are supportive, loving and very informative. No question goes unanswered here! This is the best place to come to vent or just whine when you need to, but I'm sorry too that you have to be here at all. Annie
  17. Ronna, Welcome, but sorry you have to be here at all. Good news!! A year is a nice milestone. I hope the bone scan is good too. Let us all know because we will be praying for you and sending you good thoughts. Annie

    I got Good news Today

Dave, That's the best news ever!! Responding after the first cycle means great things in the future!! Annie
  23. Brandy, I'm new here too and so sorry to hear about your Mom. Waiting for the test results was one of the hardest parts for me. Many, many sleepless nights. I did research on the computer, but that's hard when you don't know what type she has. The best thing I did was call the Alliance for Lung Cancer (800) 298-2436. They have a hotline during the week and they calmed me down and told me which doctors my husband need to see. Just being able to be proactive helped me tremendously. It helped to take away the feeling of being punched in the stomach. They were able to recommend a cancer institute in my area and even which doctor to see. Good luck and know that our prayers are with you and your Mom. Annie
  24. Well, I guess I should move off the newcomers board and into another. Thanks for all the loving support and prayers. I included all of you in a heartfelt and teary prayer last night--just overwhelmed with graditute. Annie
