  1. My sister had that too..and she used the magic mouthwash and ate immediately afterward. She said that helped a lot. Pain meds and soft foods..maccaroni and cheese and mashed potatoes were her favorite. It does ease up in time. Beverly was so hungry she actually ate fried chicken while she was hurting..she said "It hurt so GOOD!' I think the best thing is to eat what you can get down.
  2. I think you should talk to your Mom just like she was there to hear you. I know it won't be the same, but I think she will hear you. I bet she will find a way to answer you too. Watch for the little things to let you know she is around. Have you had things happen that so reminded you of your Mother since Abby was born? I know it sounds weird, but a friend of mine was so upset that her mother was not there to share her newborn with her..and she told me that her mother let her know she was there just with little things..like moving the baby powder..or the baby laughing for no apparent reason..I don't know if this is true..but I choose to believe that it is. I hope you feel better soon. Love, Bobby
  3. Funny Stuff!! Thanks, I needed a smile today.

  5. Dana, I am so sorry that your Mom has passed. I know she was so proud of you and the way you took care of her. I hope you find peace and comfort in knowing how much your Mom loved you and how proud of you she was and still is. Take care of yourself and stay in touch. Love, Bobby

    She's gone

Kelly I am so saddened by your news. Please know I will pray for your family to get through this. Your Moma is at peace now. No more fighting. Love, Bobby
  7. A Russian woman married a Canadian gentleman and they lived happily ever after in Toronto . However, the poor lady was not very proficient in English, but did manage to communicate with her husband. > The real problem arose whenever she had to shop for groceries. > > One day, she went to the butcher and wanted to buy chicken legs. She didn't know how to put forward her request, and in desperation, clucked like a chicken and lifted up her skirt to show her thighs. Her butcher got the message, and gave her the chicken legs. > > Next day she needed to get chicken breasts, again she didn't know how to say it, and so she clucked like a chicken and unbuttoned her blouse to show the butcher her breasts! 9. Welcome to the board! My sister has ext. sclc and is actually doing quite well so far. There is hope, so if a Doctor is telling you that there is not, you need to find another one. Aggressive treatment is the way to go with this. Prayers help a lot too. Keep us posted and take care of yourself. Love, Bobby
  10. Bucky, my sister would get like that too. She finally had to get the Dr. to give her something for it. The depression can go too far sometimes, and you need help to get back to the right frame of mind to fight this beast. Maybe your Dr. could prescribe an antidepressant for you, and if you are on one already, maybe he could switch up. I hope you start feeling better real soon. We all know that you have to have a positive attitude to fight this awful disease and that has to be the biggest challenge of all. You take care of yourself and keep us posted. Love, Bobby
  11. Just wanted to let you know that I am thinking about you and give everyone else a chance to tell you also. You have been a great comfort to me and I want to do the same for you. Hope things are getting easier for you. Let us know if there is anything we can do to help you through this. Love, Bobby

  15. I think that you are not alone. This is a very hard weekend for everyone on this board. Mothers are so vital in our lives. It has to be hard not to be able to wish them a Happy Mothers Day, if they are no longer with us. I hope somehow you find some peace soon. Take care of yourself. LOVE, BOBBY
  16. Thank you all for your replies. It is good to know there are people there for me when I need them. All of your replies were inspirational to me. Somehow, I don't feel so scared anymore. Love to all, Bobby
  17. I guess I can now join the club of Wait and See-ers. My sister just had her last radiation and chemo treatment for 6 weeks. Her radiologist thinks he should hold off on any more treatments because Beverly(my sister)was starting to feel some pain when eating again and he did not want to do any damage to her. Her oncologist decided to give her a break from Chemo too. 6 weeks of worrying that it may be back will be hard. I am really going to have to rely on my faith to get me through this. I do believe in miracles and I know they happen everyday. Please keep us in your prayers, as I will all of you. Love to all, Bobby
  18. Jane, I am sorry your Mom isn't feeling well. I am glad she will be coming home with you. Keep us posted and take care of yourself. Love, Bobby
  19. My first thought was "attitude". I will try asking around. Let us know what the answer is.
  20. There is an early tropical storm out in the eastern atlantic that has been named Andrea. Let's all hope this is not the start of a bad hurricane season.
  21. As long as she is not Katrina's or Rita's long lost sister, I think we will be ok.
  22. I am so happy your sister is doing better. I am sure she enjoyed your visit. Keep us posted and have a great weekend.
  23. THAT IS WONDERFUL NEWS. THIS TYPE OF NEWS LETS EVERYONE KNOW THAT THERE REALLY IS HOPE. THANK YOU!
  24. Tanner, I am so sorry for the bad news. I hope the 3rd line knocks it out of there. It could happen. You take care of yourself. I hate cancer too!
