Hi Fay, Really interesting message. I'm currently finishing my masters in linguistics. And I think what you are mentioning is about the « Whorf-Sapir Hypothesis » (= language defines the way a person behaves, so differences in language reflect the different views of different people). Anaïs

That's nice ! My mother had also Iressa from a deceased patient (not much... only 32 pills). In Canada, Iressa is not approved by 'Santé Canada' (Health Canada). The deceased patient was on a clinical trial/study...

My mother had a bad cough... She went to see her Dr, thinking it was bronchitis. He did an X-Ray and found a huge mass in her left lung. Two weeks later, she was dx with stage IV NSCLC with less than a year to live (a few more months with palliative chemotherapy).

Carcinoma = Cancer that begins in skin or tissues that line the inside or cover the outside of internal organs. Metastatic = Cancer that has spread to either the lymph nodes or organs

Grief comes and goes. You won't look «ridiculous» because 8 months has passed. I think it's hard to estimate a «normal» grieving period by I have been told it could take 2 years. Don't hesitate to seek for help. In Montreal, the hospice offered a «Hope and Cope» service with a psychologist. Also, the funeral home did offer something similar. Anaïs
