I'm so so sorry to hear more bad news for you. I know your break must be coming up. Hopefully, it's the Avastin. In the meantime, please know you are in my thoughts and prayers each day.

Welcome! There are a great group of people here and lots of support. So sorry to hear about you as well as your son. I'm sure it's hard enough for you to have to deal with this lung cancer but not much is worse, then when your child is sick. I know it.
Prayers for you both.

Yes, I can see these anniversaries are bittersweet. However you choose to mark it, I wish you and John many, many more survivorship anniversaries.

I'm sure God will understand your prayer for "brain farts". I'll second it.

I'm so sorry to hear that David is in so much pain. It's just not fair with all that he has gone through. I'm glad you're going to see him very soon. In the meantime, my prayers for the Chapmans continue as always.

Prayers for a speedy recovery for your dad and no kickin' yourself in the butt. You do everything that you can do and chances are good that a doctor wouldn't have guessed either.

Nancy,
I'm so sorry to read your post. I just can't begin to imagine the pain that you are feeling. I wish I could do more than just sent my prayers to you and Mike. But I will send many of them to both of you.

Welcome to our caring and supportive group. Vent all you want, get info and advice here too. It's a great place.
My Dad's situation sounds similar to your moms. He was diagnosed in 2000 also and was told he had an 80% chance of cure with just surgery. There was no mention of chemo. Three years later a recurrence and Stage III. Then some chemo and radiation. Had 1 1/2 years of good scans and another recurrence right now. Thus far, the spot appears small and doesn't seem to be anyplace else but you never know with lc.
Anyway, good luck to your mom in her fight. Keep us posted and let us know how we can support you.

Your new house and neighborhood sound wonderful. I'm glad that issue is settled for you and as you said, Dave feels good about that too. That's important.
Prayers for the 3 of you.

Really hoping your nodules turn out to be nothing. That would be nice. Wishing you didn't have to wait a whole month too. We all know what waiting is like.
Prayers.

Just saw your post and I add my prayers too. As the nurse said, if there were red flags, in all likelihood, you would know it by now. So try to enjoy the weekend!!!

PS I understand the anxiety but I'd prefer to have a doctor that's overcautious rather than one who brushes everything off.

Adding my good thoughts and prayers -- albeit a bit late.
Hope your mother of the bride dress shopping goes well. I'm in the same boat and haven't had much luck yet! Everything seems to be made for 25 year olds who are size 6's -- not me.
Wishing you luck, Geri.

My father has a recurrence of cancer(small- it only shows on the PET, not on the CT) in his lung, in a place that has previously been radiated (I think). The oncologist looked into RFA for his and said it's not feasible but is sending my father to meet next week with someone - to talk about the possibility of phototherapy. I don't think that I've ever seen that word mentioned on this board. Just wondering if anyone has had it done or knows about it.
Thanks.
