Dear Cindi, I am so sorry about your Mom. I understand completely where you are coming from. In less than 2 weeks it will be 1 year since I lost my Mom. She too was my best friend and my tower of strenght. I am going to be up front with you, the road to this point has not been easy, but as time goes on and as you continue to pass those days of firsts, and there are a lot of them, I find she is within me. You will find her in you as well with all that you've done together, your strenght will come from her. She was a very stong person, and you will draw your strenght from that. I found that happening to me. My Mom too was a hero, and I am proud of it. I want to be just like her and you are walking the same path, I see it there. Give it time, cry, scream, ask why. I still do, but I now know, she is within me, she tries to calm me, as she always did, and you will feel it too. Cindi, it will get better, but it takes time, this doesn't happen overnight. Shelly, Please realize that many people care about you. There are a lot of wonderful messages saying that here. I too am one of them. I lost my Mom also and my father-in-law, who I loved dearly is very ill as well, colon cancer, a bag and a huge hole in his stomach. It's okay to feel overwelmed, you are...But you are very loving person and the hurt is great. I hope all of these ideas help you find the path to strenght. You are very important being on this earth. Annie and All, Oh my..... I can't believe what I've been reading...It's all there, the same thing, the same guilt i've felt for all this time. Did we kill her with all these meds. She couldn't talk to us that night, her last words that I remember were she wanted to die, she had a hard time breathing, she was still in pain even with the meds it was awful. I am crying as write this and and it hurts so bad. Thanks Teresa, I went and read your post again, and yes we did it for love, I miss her so much though, and it is hurting so bad right now. Dona
