Leslie221 Posted December 24, 2005 Share Posted December 24, 2005 I haven't had any blood family since I was 26, but have always had lots of in-laws around. (Some years that was a treat, some years it was not. ) Since we moved out here from California 4 1/2 years ago, we haven't been with family at the holidays. And, you know what? We've had some much happier holidays, just the two of us. I always love my Christmas Day with Mark. Since we don't have kids, we get to be the kids at Christmas! I just love the comfortableness, the fun, the lack of pressure, the enjoyment of silly little things we share. And then a big, fancy turkey dinner! And ALL the pumpkin pie is ours!
