LauraG Posted September 21, 2006 Share Posted September 21, 2006 Since my father-in-law's diagnosis in September of 2004, my wife has been coming to this webpage to learn and get advice and (most of all) support. Although she never posted, I know that this website helped her deal with her father's disease and better enabled her to cope. Roy was diagnosed with stage 4 adenocarcinoma and was given 4-6 months. He was able to battle through for two years, getting to spend time doing what he loved. He got to see his grandaughter turn two years old and got to see her personality as he helped her learn to count and recognize colors. Roy passed away in his home surrounded by his wife and children on Friday the 15th of September at 12:15 A.M. I got my wife's permission to place this post on the site in order to thank you all for your support and so you would know that you were a help to my wife and to me during this difficult time.
