Tarceva.....How Long?

Just curious as to how long everyone that's taking Tarceva has been on the drug?

I started Tarceva in April of '05.

I went on Iressa March of 03 then Tarceva January 05. I had a slight increase in my tumor 1/06 and I went off of it. So I had almost 3 years on the two similar drugs.

April '06 - 13-1/2 months.

Avastin January 06 - Nov 06 - 11 months

Iressa Oct 04 - April 05, taken off - too many side effects

My mom has been on Tarceva for about 2 months. She is another hopeful. Hoping that it works for her as well as it has worked for you and others. She has a scan next Thursday so we will know more then but she is feeling good so I would think that is a good sign!

Starting tarceva tomorrow. When is a good time to take it, morning or night? Any suggestions from those on it?

My original cancer area in the lung is clear just scar tissue, but now the fluid in the upper lobe tested positive with needle biopsy and negative on pet scan so that is why I am starting tarceva and 38 more radiation treatments this week.

I don't feel really bad, just a little tired.

Please fill me in on tarceva rights and wrongs.

I take mine first thing in the morning. I eat about an hour or so after I enjoy my first cup of coffee.

Maurice experienced extreme fatigue when taking it in the am so he's switched to pm and sleeps thru the worst of it.
