My mother passed away almost two weeks ago... seems like yesterday. It's been a rough few weeks.

Randa M. Wilson

Randa Marie Wilson, 65, died Sunday August 12, 2007. She passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family. Visitation is today from 5-8 at Natchez Trace Funeral Home in Madison with funeral services Wednesday at 10a.m. in the chapel. Interment is in Natchez Trace Memorial Park Cemetery.

Randa was a very special and gracious lady who brought much joy to those who knew her. She courageously fought a four year battle with cancer and recently retired from East Lakeland OB/Gyn.

Randa was preceded in death by her mother, Frances Forte Williams and her father, Pete Williams, both of Hattiesburg, MS.

She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Bill Wilson; her children, Paula Wilson Travis (Marty), Lorie Wilson Busby (David), and Matt Wilson (Brandy) all of Brandon; grandchildren, Warren & Palmer Jackson, Camryn & Dalton Busby, Hayden & Gabe Wilson, Cody Sutterfield; brothers Paul Williams (Lynn) of Brandon and Bob Williams (Tracy) of Hattiesburg.

Randa's family would like to thank Dr. Tammy Young and Hospice Ministries for their wonderful care throughout her illness.

Published in the Clarion Ledger on 8/14/2007.

I'm so sorry you are facing this right now. I know this time is confusing and rough. I'm glad she had family with her at the end---I really do believe they know we are there.

We're here for you when you need us. Take care.
