Ry
I am so very sad to read that Lenny (Lenr8) passed away this evening. I appreciate his wife and father letting us know. Many times I notice members aren't posting and as it continues to go on I start to get concerned as to whether they are ok. I always hope it is because they are feeling well... but sometimes it is because they aren't well and we don't know what has happened or we find out much later, or we never find out. So can we make a pact? Promise you will let someone know that if you are ill or in the hospital or something happens to you, that they should come here and let us know. Thanks! bluebayou
Ry.. Excellent idea! I have already told my husband about this site. He has my username and password and if i should get really sick or land up in hospital, he will let u all know. Hope others will do same. We do worry, as Ry said, about how u all r doing when we haven't heard in so long. For instance, after that poignant and desperate post from Carleen some time ago, I haven't seen anything from her at all.. I'm worried

MO_Sugar
My daughter has all my sites bookmarked and has all my passwords. She was very good about letting people know when I was in hospital in June (prior to joining this board). It does help to know what is going on with those we have all come to care about. God Bless, MO
Snowflake
Could do a "calling circle" - share a phone number with a friend on the board (or two) and when people start to worry, someone can call and find out....
Ry
That's a good idea Snowflake but if pizzas start arriving in mass quantities at my house I will find you! Send me yours and I'll send ya mine!
Snowflake
Katie, Is there a way Rick could add an icon or symbol to the member's name on the Memberlist, such as a bunch of flowers, when someone passes? Sometimes, sad updates are made by people not on the user's account and therefore when scanning through the member list, the last posting is NOT the latest news. Just a thought, but kinda morbid, too...
Ry
Anyone else want to share their number just PM it to me. Anyone want to buy Snowflakes? Just kidding Becky....

stephnewyork34
Forget the pizza! I am sending Pizza, Videos, a car from CarsDirect! *hahhaha* That is a great idea, and I loved the idea also about putting an icon if someone has passed. We are all very close and it is important we know what is going on. great thinking!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Snowflake
Thanks, Ry! We had one HECKUVA party with all those delivered pizzas...did a reverse search on YOUR number for an address....hope you enjoy the strippers! The lady at the agency said she was sorry but Chippendales dancers could not be delivered on PROMISE of payment at the door, but that a belly-dancing Miss Piggy could be.... Stephanie, make mine a convertible with a heavy duty heater...I plan on dolling up like a snowbaby and driving it with the top down in the snow! Fay A.
Speaking of birds...... Did you know that there's a place where one can order three foot tall Pink Flamigo lawn ornaments. I know this because a friend of mine who is a Michigander is going to receive this as a gift. I haven't decided if there will be 42 of them all over her front yard on Christmas Morning, or if I should save it for her next birthday. I'll need to decide soon.....I'm just trying to imagine what it will be like to see 42 hot pink and ugly birds in the snow. Fay A.
bobmc
OK, Ry, You can add me to the list; All things considering, I am a SURVIVOR, so far, and after dealing with lung cancer well what else could happen!! Just a wee bit worried about finding wayward children at my door or a flock of live chickens from Okieland laying eggs on my deck. Nahhh!! God bless and be well Bobmc- NSCLC- stageIIB- left pneumonectomy- 5/2/01 " absolutely insist on enjoying life today!"
Guest DaveG
Not bad on Miss Piggy. A pig farmer told me that sows have from 8-10, how should I say this, feeding organs. So Miss Piggy should be interesting.
MO_Sugar
Add me to the list, sounds like a good idea! God Bless, MO
Ry
For crying out loud bobmc are you sending that number via carrier pigeon?
Snowflake
Hmmm, Dave, nice visual....can't get the HeeHaw dancing pigs with pasties out of my head!! (& I think when pigs become strippers, they have themselves DE-AUGMENTED 'cuz Miss Piggy only has TWO....hmmm, I THINK....) ...and Fay, how much ARE those pink yard birds? I wanted to bedazzle my dad with 60 of 'em for his last b-day, but he had just been home a week from HIS cancer surgery and I didn't want to upset him (OR make him laugh...). I figure I can do 61 next year and he'd never expect it because it's not a "milestone" year...
Debi
Well, if he doesn't have a carrier pigeon, he may have a few chickens he can work with soon. Go ahead Bob, send her the number!
Snowflake
I know why Bob's not sending his number...it's probably one of those off-shore 900 numbers...hehehe 1-900 BAD BOYS 1-900 BAD DAWG 1-900 SPEAK UP 1-900 CHEEEEP (Dirty bird talk line) Darn late night TV!!! Snowflake
Ah, Dave...I've been crying so much lately that when I get teary from laughing so hard I almost wet my pants...well, laughter is good for the soul! (Dirty jokes keep me breathing heavy - laughing is a little more "breathy" after lung surgery...LOL) Screw this cancer stuff, my constitution is broken glass and rusty nails with the temperment of a junkyard dawg...I'm just a sweet lil thang, after all... ...and where did them little dancin' piggies go??? They were just can-canning across my screen a minute ago...or was that them dang drugs again???
