Hi Don, I had radiation to my chest in Nov 2003. I have a round scar on my back between my shoulder blades which is six inches in diameter. They blasted the crap out of me and it worked. I had stage III . So far so good. It was really hard , but I'm here and it was worth it. I tryed aloe and it helped alittle, but the burn cream I used was better, and I can't remember the name(ask onco radiologist) but oxicon helped the most.LOL . Good luck and take care. Mare

It was a great letter, but what THAT Dr. did does not surprise me one bit!!!!! When the going gets tough, they bale. NOT all but most. It's the exception to the rule that stay! Very sad. I had to back my fathers Dr. into a corner to tell my father he was terminal and at that he never truely said the word terminal. What's up with that? I would want to know the truth, but they stay with the theory of hope which is great and wonderful to a point. If you ask for the truth it should be brought to the table.

TAnn , Iam so sorry to hear how bad you are feeling. My niece is a hospice nurse. They are wonderful and very caring feeling people. They are a special class of people. They WILL manage your pain. Let them to help you. I will pray for you and your family. Take care and good luck to you. Love, Mare

Hi Cindi, I love that movie and I know how you feel. I now work on the 5th floor of a high rise. I have been running up and down the stairs two times a day, so that's 10 flights. It helps with the anger and the lung volume. It take me several minutes to catch my breath , but it helps relieve that tension. Mare

On the noon news today I heard Christopher Reeves wife Dana passed away last night in New York of LC. She was dx in August I believe. My prayers go to her family and her 13 old son. Soooo sad.

Don, I also had a tearing problem. Two and a half yrs. later my left eye still tears once and awhile. I've been to three eye Dr.'s and they never heard of it. Goes to show you how much Dr.'s don't know about chemo. I think the patients know much more about side effects. We all should collect data and start a book.LOL! Hang in there Lucy. Take care. Yea Alfac! Welcome! You are so so lucky to find it sooooo early. Good luck to you. I had surgery and then biospy. These surgeons look at ct scan day in and day out. Most often they are so correct, check out your surgeon and his credentials. Mare

I have used magic mouthwash, but it was for pain in the mouth and swallowing from radiation.

Dave, I'm so sorry for you loss. What a great son . Being with her like that is something to treasure. I also was lucky and blessed to be with my dad at the end. Yeah it does Trish, but as time goes on it's ALITTLE easier if your NED. Or you just learn how to put it in the back of you mind better. If that makes any sense. Yea for the smoking thing.
