  2. Bump! Besides being a goober and posting 2times now I forgot to add something. If you send a post card put just put on it : A friend of your Grammy's. Thanks! Again: He needs postcards from any state other than PA and out of the USA!!!!! The project is on until the first week of June! He says he got a card from Jackie from Canada! They are slow coming in!   4. Actually I had a cat who I had for 11 yrs before I got sick. She was not a people cat and would never sit on anyone's lap or cuddling. When I was sick I couldn't get rid of her. She was in my bed and up my butt.LOL!!!

  6. Last night on abc, there was a new game show on called Duel. One of the questions was in 2006 they have trained dogs which can find lc by smelling your breathe, they can detect the chemicals. Has anyone ever heard of this?
  7. Dawn, I was IIIA and have been clean for 4 yrs and 4 months. Keep the faith.
  8. Hi Bruce Resistely I have been having anxiety attacks for no reason (clean 4 yrs.)and have never had them before. I'v talked to survivors and they all agree it's like post tramatic syndrome. I know I was on auto pilot through the six months of all the crap I went through. I had all the test and I'm fine. I think the mind take time to relax and deal w/ everything, but I definitely would tell your Dr. Good luck and take care.

    Chemo Ports ?

    They usually do it on the side you had sugery, or the bad lung, but the final bet is up to the surgeon. I had mine in for a yr. and out for three. No problems.
  10. I work for a scheduling dept. for a hospital. I schedule ct's for lung cancer patients daily, and 99% are done w/contrast. Usually IV contrast. Better picture of nodules etc.
  11. Are you going to a state hospital? If so talk to a social worker , they can help alot. Just a thought. Good luck.

    bronchitis

    Hi Mike, Alot of people, including myself were being treated for bronchitis and it was actually lung cancer. That's what happened to Peter Jennings. Mare
  13. What a surprise!! The cancer industry supports nothing that doesn't make money for the drug companies. Stay away from sugar. Did you know when you get a Pet Scan they are injecting glucose in you and it goes direct to the cancer cells.

    The Struggle

    Don, I do understand that you need to move on! I will always remember your kind words and encouragement when I first came on the website. You were the first to answer my calls for help!   16. Way to go Donna! The first thing I take off when I get home after work is the bra and then the shoes. It used to be the shoes! If I had more talent I would invent some type of harness!LOL I wonder if small breasted woman have the same pain issue or is it not as bad?

    Port Removal

    My port was removed in the Dr. office. Was a breeze.They numbed the area and out it came . It was the easiest procedure I had throughout my cancer.

  19. They biospy it and then freeze it to keep.
  20. I schedule outpatient rad. for a main hospital in PA. Lung scan is a very expensive test. So it all boils down to the almighty dollar.

  23. The day after my surgery I concerned myself a survivor.
  24. I don't know if it ever goes away. It's been 3 yrs for me and I still have it. It nerve regeneration, supposely.
