  2. Sorry you have to be here, sounds to me your doing the right things with your mom. I understand her wanting to be independent thats what we all want. Prayers your way...
  3. Im not sure too fast is a bad thing, I watched my mom suffer and slowly decline for 4 years you would think that would better prepare you but it does'nt. We kept thinking mom had unfinished business she needed to do or so that is what hospice told us. Which ever way slow or fast it is hard, stay strong and remember the good memories.... Prayers..

  7. The good memories thats what it all about when we are gone.
  8. Mitchell, we all understand your mom's fears, I believe once cancer has been spoken to you it and its fears never leave, we may not talk about them but in the back of our minds its always there. As for the uncaring nurse, I always give the benefit of doubt, we never know what is going on in someone elses life and may be she was having an off day. Prayers your way, your mom is lucky to have a son like you....
  9. Sorry for your sister Betty, she is in peace and prayers go out to you and your family..

  17. I'll jitter with you, tomorrow first radiation treatment, best of luck to us both...
  18. Like the others have said you will be posting encouraging thoughts to someone else down the road. This is my second time around as well as many others, believe me when I say your dad has this thought in the back of his head and if bad news were to come he has somewhat prepared himself. But as someone in this group said to me and it has stuck... just because its cancer doesn't mean its catastrophic. PRAYERS.....
  19. Sounds like she needs the rest, and in afew weeks she will be ready to go at it again, keep us posted..
  20. Yeah, worse thing is the battle in our minds. I hope for the best but prepare for the worse, if that can be done, it is hard....
  21. Wow, your mom is such a pillar of strength. Don't know about the chemo helping but sounds like she is willing to try what ever is out there.. keep us posted....
  22. All of the above, fell off the wagon a few times myself. Just brush yourself off and get on the wagon again.
  23. I agree to slow. But dont always blame it on the doctor they only give the work to their office staff and it is their responsiblity to get things moving. I work for a doctor and know this. With my new recurrence I called every day to make sure those girls were getting what the doctor told me he was going to do, and I feel if I hadn't it would have taken longer. You are your best avocate its your body dont accept anything but the best....
