  1. Andrea, I have been waiting for that shoe too and it dropped yesterday. I wonder if that is why I feel like I haven't reacted to the news because I cried some, but not like the first time. I guess I have been living the last year just waiting for it to come back. I have to say live. Now that it has returned, I wish that we had done things that we did not do. Who knows what next summer will be like for us, so I am sorry that we did not do more. So plan whatever you want, but make sure you can reschedule or cancel if you have to!

    Prayers needed

I am not sure how I am doing with the return of Mike's cancer since I haven't really reacted. My kids are having a hard time with this I think, because they are acting different. Not that I am surprised, but I just wish they didn't have to go through this. They are 11 and 5 now and it is not any easier. Mike's dad is a minister and Mike and I have been working with the youth group at the church for about 5 years. Some of these kids are like our own. When he told them this evening, I felt like I had 15 kids. They were all crying uncontrollably and running to me to make it better. Of course all I could do was hug them and cry with them. We have had a rough day and all of us could use any extra prayers you have. Pray for my family and the teens at our church. It is not fair that my kids have to endure this and the kids at the church reacted more like I thought our kids would. Mike's cancer is effecting more than just our family, but 15 other innocent children too. Please pray for all of us if you can! Thanks,
  3. Ok, where is my shirt? I keep checking and it is not in the mail. Man our mail is slow here!
  4. What a great idea! I have sent mine! It was hard to say all that I wanted to say in 100 words. I hope she wins! I was overcome with emotion as I talked about Katie and this group! I couldn't have made it without all of you!

  7. Kasey, I am disappointed in the response thay I have gotten too. I just joined, but when I talk to people they are like well, that is great. I tell them that it is a fundraiser for Lung Cancer and I am looking for sponsors, but so far no one has said count me in on it. I am walking in Ohio. Kim Miller Team Ohio

  9. I am sure that every person is different, but my husband is NED and he has a bone scan every six months. He had his first bone scan at six months after NED and then he has another in November, his year anniversary. It can't hurt to ask. I hope this helps.
  10. I am so sorry your husband is going through this. I hope that hospice will help you.

  13. Second opinions are so important. Sometimes they really make a difference. My husband was told six months to a year and we got a second opinion and now he is NED! Buying more time is important, because something better may come along during this time.

    Lucie Wood

Don, The pictures of Lucie are great. When I think of her, I will see her smiling face. You both mean so much to me. Lucie's story was an inspiration to me. She offered us hope at a time when we needed it the most. Your continued support during this difficult time in your life shows me just how much you care. Thank you for all that you have done for me and my family. Thank you for sharing your Lucie with us. My prayers are with you during this time. I am so sorry!
  20. Lori, What a special lady! I was so lucky to get to know her through you! Thinking of you often and praying. (((Lori)))
