  1. I understand how you feel. It is hard to adjust our lives without our loved ones. And it is so darn unfair this happens to people. Cancer is such an ugly disease. I pray for a cure..someday maybe? God bless you, Nancy C
  2. Oh my God, I was just telling my mother , yesterday, how awful I felt on New Year's. It was harder than Christmas. Starting a new year without Mike and my brother, Ron...broke my heart. I felt so empty..the end of their lives were in 2005...and there is no more 2005. I know what every one of you mean. God bless, Nancy C
  3. Praying for you, Doug. Keep fighting. God bless,Nancy C
  4. It's ok to cry. You are just showing your love and emotions for your Mother. You are human. Don't beat yourself up over it. Cancer effects everyone involved..not just the patient. I wish you and your family well. God bless, Nancy C
  5. Janet, that was very beautiful. I can relate to your relationship with Ron. Mike and I were from previous failed marriages and I also feel it was special. God bless you, Nancy C
  6. Don and Lucie..I think that is pretty good news. Lucie will do well..she always does. What a fighter! God bless,Nancy C
  7. Val, happy birthday. It is hard to celebrate when you're missing some one so special in your life. You didn't hurt your Dad, you just triggered all the memories he has and he let it out. It's O.K. He loves her very much too. Us parents try not to break down in front of our children...we are protecting them as usual. God bless, Nancy C
  8. Cheryl, I am so sorry to heard your sad news. It is a very difficult time for you and your family. Your husband wants very much to live..that is why it is hard to understand why treatment is withheld. I wish you both peace. Hospice is an angel from heaven to help the caregiver, along with the patient. God bless,Nancy C

    Believe

This says it all..doesn't it. I love it. Nancy C
  10. I totally agree with Ry. I am a nurse, and the amount of pain the cancer patient can suffer is enormous. You have to maintain a certain level of comfort, and the pain can easily get out of hand if not treated. Hospice nurses are specialized nurses and know how to deal with the end of life needs. I pray for your mother and your family. This is a terrible journey for anyone to have to travel. I wish you comfort and peace. God bless you, Nancy C
  11. My heart aches for you. I will pm you. God bless, Nancy C

I am so glad to read some of you have had ADC. I am so looking forward to that. I want so much to experience one from my dear Mike, and my brother, Ron ...who left us so suddenly. I want to know he is ok. I have done searches on the internet for the subject..and just pray my turn will come for the peace I need to feel. God bless,Nancy C

  15. It is so hard...I have been down that road. The caregiver is a saint..and it takes everything you have out of you. It sucks the life out of your body. It is terrible. I know you are carrying the load. All I can say is..start to take care of yourself. Whatever that may be. Go to dinner with a friend, get out of the house awhile with no responibilites. Get a massage, go to a movie..do something for yourself. This journey is hard. I pray for you. Hang in there. God bless, Nancy C
  16. I am so sad to hear of your loss, God bless you and your family, Nancy C
  17. I am praying for you and your family. To watch our loved ones in discomfort and struggling to live is heart breaking. God bless you, Nancy C
  18. There is no pain greater than the loss of a loved one..and my heart hurts for you. I am praying for your family. God bless you and lots of love, Nancy C
  19. Do email me so we can get together these next few weeks if possible. I am feeling as you do. I don't feel better..but I'm doing better. I had a rough week. I think about Mike and my brother Ron everyday..constantly...as you do your dear mother. I suppose it is part of the healing..if there ever is healing. Do take care, I know this is a difficult journey and is not fair. God bless, Nancy C
  20. I am so sorry about your loss. I wish you peace and comfort. God bless,Nancy C
  21. Eppie, I have been to Baytown..ten years ago..my father went there to have surgery. Nice place! God bless, Nancy C
  22. Denise, I am very sorry...but your father has given a ray of hope...seeing his relatives and others...I know my husband and brother will greet him in heaven's glory. God bless you and your dear family, Nancy C
  23. Well, I say you do what your heart and Keith's tells you. Go for it ..if it's what you want. Carleen, what I have found out about life..we have ONE chance at it. No reruns..can't do it over again..so do what you want and what your heart tells you. Kids are extreme work..but so are many things in life. Cancer is extreme work..and so is any illness. Caregivers have extreme work..and so do cancer patients. You are here on this earthh to love and live. Do it. And may all your dreams come true God bless you both, Nancy C
  24. How beautiful. God bless you, Nancy C
  25. Lil, as far as I'm concerned you can write anytime. You are not bringing me down. PM me if you want. You are such a strong person. You can make it. As you already have! Life is hard without our loved ones. There is no getting around that. The holidays do make it worse, as nothing will ever be the same. I wish you peace and comfort. God bless, Nancy C P.S. where in Lousianna are you from? I was born in Rayne, but have numerous relatives in Lake Charles, New Orleans and Estherwood(ever heard of that small town??).. it's outside of Crowley. My parents are real born Cajuns!
