I’m questioning whether this is working. Pet scan report showed more shrinking and SUV 2.3?(I didn’t print it yet) of the main tumor and the lymph node is gone. But now I have a small volume pleural effusion and larger airspace disease with lower SUV? From what I’m reading, pleural effusion puts me at stage 4 and prognosis is 6 months? How could that be if the main tumor is going away and no other hot spots. I’m going to freak out before my appointment on Thursday.

Tomm-I am happy I’m doing well, I wish we can see the benefits other than a scan every 3 months.
Michelle-thanks. I’ll have a slice for you next weekend.

Hey Tomm. I’m good after #5. Just a little tired. I’m wondering if no real side effects means it’s not doing anything. PET/CT on Tuesday will let me know.

Grouchy is acceptable. Sorry about the pain. I’ve only had 4 infusions and I have pain in my foot joints occasionally which I had for years then it went away during chemo and radiation. Never figured that out

Jane-I’m wondering why they would stop the Durvalumab if you take steroids again? I know people with autoimmune disorders that have been on it for years. I know it can be addictive but stopping treatment seems like it should be a last resort. Especially if it’s having positive results. Always something to question with this disease.

Hi Kleo. The Durvalumab/prednisone relationship has seen better days. I think the max daily dose they came up with is 10 mgs. If I could take that daily to ward off the bad stuff I would but I don’t think they would do that yet. We are still guinea pigs on this stuff. Sorry about your hair. Mine is not growing in too fast. I didn’t order the button for my back to be able to pull the hair out of my scalp🤪

I’m thinking these dizzy spells is my glucose going crazy. I’ve been watching it off and on but yesterday it was all over the place. Monitoring more closely now. The lighthouse nurse agrees, probably going to turn diabetic. Yahoo, more drugs to take.

Good morning Charles. You certainly have had a bunch of stuff going on with this Imfinzi. Sorry it’s been so rough. Hopefully when you get through this and have a break you will be able to get back on the plan and you will have no issues.

That was meant for any Durvalumab. Should have been any not either. My brain is foggy

Hey guys. Either of you experience any dizziness? Infusion was Thursday, Friday was dizzy and also today. So difficult to say for sure if this is a side effect when it’s all so sporadic.

Hi Tomm-#4 done yesterday. Little tired but slept awful last night. I can never pinpoint my fatigue to this unless it hits me over the head in the middle of the day for no apparent reason. All blood tests were good enough for the doc, didn't get my thyroid results in my paperwork for some reason but they'll post it in my chart on line in a few days. Are you gaining weight? Seems every time I step on the scale at the onc's, I gain a pound. But better than losing weight for no apparent reason. And I still have this itchy, sometimes swollen and red eye issue going on, can't pinpoint it to the Durva either, it comes and goes. Hope you have a good weekend.

Wondering if not taking it those days is enough as the Durvalumab stays around for more than a few days after. Or so I read.

Thanks Tomm. Interesting read and positive news. Why do you not take CBD before and after?

Thanks Tomm. Interesting read and positive news.

Had #3 today. I’ll be tired for the weekend. Gets me out of housework 😀. All blood work good here also. Doc thinks my eyes are part of the reaction to the inhaler on top of my normal allergies and it’s been much better. Keep on fighting

Hey Charles. I’m having the itchy swollen eyes issue. Hopefully it’s my allergies, of course it may be a side effect. Another person I work with is having the same symptoms from her allergies-she’s not a patient. Wondering what you are doing for it and what your doc says about it.

Great Charles. I’m happy to see it working for you. Gives us all hope. How often do you get scanned ? I’m on the every 3 months schedule so I’m not due until July.
