  4. The whole way of life will change unfortunately, it will never be the same as it was but it will become your new normal and you will get through this, once the treatment starts and you see results it will make all the difference, Sometimes it takes a while to get to that stage but it is achievable so try and stay strong and positive Goodluck Justin

  8. Hi Mark Welcome to the forum I'm really sorry you have to be here though, this lung cancer journey is tough but you do need to stay positive even though its hard to, I worry about my family more so than the actual dying part of this situation and it hurts me to see them so sad, The treatments are a lot better today and gives us all a fighting chance, I think your right to get a second opinion but get the treatment started as soon as you can and definitely get the brain scan done, All the best and goodluck Justin

  21. Hi lovingdaughter1990 and jhp Welcome to the forum, there are some great people on here and someone will come along with some helpful information and advice I'm sure,it is completely natural to feel the way you are feeling its a really frightening time from the beginning, unfortunately for all of us life changes from the diagnosis and it will always be different than it was before this happened but it doesn't mean its over, we all get sad and have our down days but you will find the strength you need to get through this, I speak to all my family about everything and I know it worries and frightens them but there strength and support helps me through this and makes me want to fight and get better, I hope you both get some good news and that you start feeling a bit better one day at a time, All the best Take care Justin
  22. Darius Welcome here sorry that you have to be though, I dont know anything about immunotherapy I'm afraid I'm fairly sure I have less than 1% PDL1 and I had chemotherapy and radiotherapy done at the end of last year for right upper lobe lung cancer and lymph nodes, I hope someone will come along with some answers for you All the best and goodluck Justin

  24. Kamoto I felt like that last xmas it got really hard to swallow anything towards the end of treatment I didn't have cancer in my esophagus but it was in my lymph nodes so ended up with severe esophagitis and terrible pain whilst swallowing I took a small amount of morphine before I ate anything and it really helped, keep going we all get like this I know I have a few times even over the last few weeks, but I did manage Christmas Dinner last year and im so glad I persevered because I managed to eat with my family even though it hurt to swallow the morphine numbed it enough to do it and we had a great time, So please don't give up because you will have plenty more good thanksgivings and Christmas's this is just a bump in the road , All the best Take care Justin
