  17. Welcome Sonia, Sorry about your dad's diagnosis but am really glad you have found us. You can always come here to share, learn or just vent! We all do. Your parents are so lucky to have you and I so identify with what you said about your dad feeling *he should be taking care of all of you* My dad felt the same way when he was dealing with colon cancer. It's a good thing that you are helping your mom as well. This %&*% disease affects the entire family. The love you have for your parents shines through your words. Prayers, for you all Libby
  18. I napped also, Crystal...really had problems falling and staying asleep. Did resort to a tylenol pm and it helped sometimes. The doc did prescribe Zanax for me after the fire (we had a fire in the midst of my mom's dx and treatment) and that really helped me relax and get some much needed rest. Take care of yourself and we are here for you. Libby
  19. Hi Heather I have been meaning to get back to your post but somehow never made it If I remember correctly, it took my mom a good month and maybe a little longer to be able to swallow comfortably. Her biggest problem was not taking in enough calories so she lost waaaay too much weight. Make sure you eat whatever feels ok and try and load up on high caloric stuff. My mom was able to tolerate icecream so we made her endless *fortified* shakes. Hope this helps and it will get better! Libby
  20. Lorrie, All in all...the results sound pretty good! Keep us posted and prayers continue. Take care Love, Libby
  21. Oh Betty, You are both in my prayers. Libby
