  6. I'm still here. Lurking. I read all of the post, and pray for everyone that's here. Sometimes I thought that I was still here because it kept me close to Mom. But in all realality, I started to care for those that are here. Going through some really tough times, sharing, like a family. I'm still here, for all of those, who reached out to me, at the lowest time in my life, I will be forever grateful. I will always say a prayer for you. You were here for me, your still here for me. Why would I ever leave? Patty
  7. Don, I'm so sorry. Prayers to you and your family. Patty
  8. Chris, I'm so sorry that your family is going through this. It's so hard to know for sure when the end is near. With my MIL, they told us for 3 weeks that today could be the day. She was such a fighter and not ready to go she hung on with everything she had. With my Mom, I noticed some of the detachment signs on the weekend before she passed but I honestly didn't believe that we were that close. She was sleeping alot more. It was on Monday night that she got agitated as I was getting ready to go home. I went to tell her goodbye and she got very upset. We calmed her down and tried to leave again. The next morning we were unable to wake her and by 2 pm, she was gone. She had told me the Wednesday before that she was tired of living like this and was ready to go. Again, I'm so sorry that you are going through this. Is there any way you can take a leave from work to be there? Patty

    Missing Mom

Hi All, I’ve been away for awhile but have continued to keep all of you in my prayers. As of today, it has been 1 year since my Mom passed away. It’s still hard to believe that she’s not here with me. I miss her voice, her smile and her laugh. I miss hearing of her daily golf rounds and her plans to travel with the “Over the Hill Gang”, off skiing or golfing in another country. I still miss not being able to pick up the phone to call her. I continue to try, to move on with my life, as she would want me too. I know she wouldn’t want me to dwell on my grief instead, rejoice in the time we had together. So many happy, wonderful memories, I love her and miss her so much. Patty

  16. One of my passions is gardening. I was lucky enough to inherit that from both of my parents. I really like planting seeds for all of the different varieties you can get. If the pack says the plants will be 24” tall, my husband would tell you that at our house it will be twice that size if not triple. I have flowers everywhere in my yard, you can look out any window and see flowers and that’s how I got my nickname Flower Junke. Once I planted pumpkin seeds, (not allowed anymore) and the pumpkins got so big it took 2 people to move them. The pack said 100 lb pumpkins and they weren’t kidding! Patty
  17. Cindy, I love the poem. Hang in there, I know how hard of a time this is for you. Patty
