  3. Oh heavens no. My brain is way to mushy to concentrate that long. Someone sent it to me in an e-mail. Whoever did it was either a son-in-law or someone with WAAAAAAAAAAY too much time on their hands. LOL
  4. "Hunter" my German Shepherd is curled up under the computer desk at my feet in which case I guess I feel him more than I see him. If he is not curled up there then he is stretched out right beside my chair.

  6. Welcome Dick. Once a treatment plan is in place things will begin to shape up around the NEW normal. Keep us posted on how things are going. As for the question in one of your other posts about friend and family ... I posted right after last Thanksgiving when I was feeling quite sorry for myself. Now that another Thanksgiving is rolling around I have learned to deal with things a lot differently.

  8. Thank you Katie I appreciate your response.
  9. I wanted to post on the thread by Rochelle under test and time updates and when I scrolled down it said the topic had been locked. I have been around about a year and a half and not run into this before .. or I just neve noticed it. Can someone enlighten me as to the cause for a topic to be locked? Thanks for the help folks.
  10. Jim it sounds like they caught whatever it is early. My NSCL adenocarcinoma was inoperable and I received chemo and radiation therapy at the same time which has kept it stable for over a year now. Once they have a treatment plan in place you will be so busy you will not have the time to fret and things will hopefully become easier for yout o deal with once they determine exactly what is going on. Fill our your profile and keep us advised.
  11. Mike I had no surgery but do experience some pains like you and Kasey described ... my Onc said some of it is caused my "residual radiation" damage. They have put me on Lyrica to see if it will decrease the pain my next PET is schedule in January. Until then I just pray that it is ONLY radiation damage or even arthritis. Best to you and keep us updated please.
  12. Carolyn you have found a great place for information and support. Keep us posted and my best to you and your dad.

  16. Welcome Joe from a fellow Okie. Keep us informed. This is a wonder site with fabulous and honest folks.
  17. Just a fun game for those that enjoy such silliness. I for one could spend hours trying to beat my high score. Well not hours because my butt would fall asleep from setting so long. ENJOY!!!! http://www.brandextract.com/catbowling/
  18. Welcome to the board Cat. If your sister is computer literate maybe she would like to join us on the message boards or in the chat room on Tuesday evenings.
  19. Sally I had some injections in my spine prior to being diagnosed with cancer. They injected some steroid on two occasions to relieve pain caused by a ruptured disk. It did help with the pain.
  20. Welcome Sally this board is full of fabulous, friendly, informative, helpful folks. I am a fellow Okie and from the looks of it only about 40 miles or so between us. I had neurontin and am currently on lyrica .... had an appointment with my Onc yesdterday and she increased the milligrams I take to see if it would help with the pain. I did not have surgery but have some residual radiation damage that we are trying to control. When receiving chemo and radiation at the same time I literally lived off of shakes with ice cream and Ensure and malt powder and chocolate syrup. I managed to put on about 20 pounds so I say eat whatever tastes good to you. Let us know how things are going.
  21. Welthy I am SO sorry. I had not be online much lately and was innocently tripping my way through chat tonight when I heard about Tony. Bless you my friend you are a truly wonderful person and know that my prayers are with you at this time.
  22. Terry glad to see your post but sorry you have to do more chemo. Keep us updated.
  23. Welcome Ken ... this is a great place with a lot of fantastic folks.
  24. Carolv they did collapse my lung when they did the biopsy but after 5 wonderful days in the hospital I was back out amongst them with a diagnosis of nsclc. It was inoperable so we attacked with 37 radiation treatments along with weekly chemo therapy. Oh yes, one week into chemo the nurse decided I should have a port. Yep you guessed it the collapsed my other lung ... hence another 5 days in the hospital. It has been a year since I completed the rounds of treatment and so far PET scans have shown the cancer is stable. I will be glad to talk to you if you want to send me a message.
