LOL I went back and forth between riding a horse and being a horse!!!!

Kelly: Sending prayers and good wishes over the internet highway and also zooming one down the Oklahoma Turnpike. I, of course, have followed along with your moms story and I must say the two of you have amazed me. Thinking of you in a special way and saying an extra special prayer for your mom.

As many have said, life is "terminal". It is very overwhelming when you first get this sort of news and this is a great place to get support. Many folks on here are on or have been on Tarceva and will be along to comment of it. Please realize that none of us come with an expiration date stamped on us and the statistics you will read as you cruise the internet are only numbers. Let us know what the scans show on your dad and what they offer as any and all treatment options.

LOL like Rich I fill it up at around a half a tank. My dad used to have a saying that I will never forget. My brother ran out of gas one time and called dad to bring him some. As dad was pouring the gas from the can into my brothers gas tank in his low, gruff voice he said "It cost the same to fill the top half as it does the bottom half"!

Okay let me see if I can describe this so it can be understood by those of us with chemo brains. LOL I would list three words such as: Car Horse Human The missing link is one word that when placed in front or behind the three words I listed makes sense. In this case the word I am envisioning as the missing link is RACE. It ties the other three together like this: Race Car Human Race [/b]Race Horse Does it make sense to anyone. It can be fun and really makes us use our brains and like they say if we don't use it we lose it. So let me start off with: shark credit library Now can you guess the missing link?

Teri ... since you mentioned tht Bill is often experiencing being short of breath "SOB" I am wondering if he could perhaps need oxygen available for use. If his blood oxygen level drops below 90 for any length of time then that can certainly add to his being tired and miserable. struggling to breath will wear him out for sure. I know some folks that need oxygen while they sleep because we tend to breath more shallow when we are asleep. I know you already have a million questions on the plate that you are trying to juggle but we are all digging deep and trying to help Bill. I am praying for you both.

Hello fanfan. There are truly some great sites out there that are specifically designed to help folks cope with the stress of deciding to not smoke. First off you have made a wonderful decision. One of the sites I found most helpful was Quitnet.com. Check it out and best of luck.

The Lord works in mysterious ways. I did not even see this post until this evening BUT from 9 to 10 I spent in the dark room turning radioactive for my PET scan. At 10 a.m. I was in the PET scan for the traditional 30 minutes .... what better way to pass the time than praying which is what I did and as ALWAYS the prayer included the LCSC participants. I hate cancer but I LOVE this group of folks.

WOW Rich that is great. Keep it up because you truly do inspire a lot of us.
