  1. Great news being stage 1A!!!! I had stage 1A over 7 years ago and had a lobectomy and as you can see, I am still here! I was lucky too,and did not have too much pain and had a quick recovery Just don't overdo and get rest as needed. Hoping your recovery continues to go smoothly! ---
  2. My sister was either 3A or 3B and after 2 1/2 years is still cancer free

  4. I am glad you made a choice, I can't say if it is right or wrong, but it is your decision!!! Any stats that shows it helps is worth it in my book I was at 1A which was kind of a no brainer for most oncologists --there were no stats at all that showed that it helped at 1A and I was not going to put chemo in my body unless I knew it would help so far I am doing ok--- good luck to you and I hope you have the same results that I have had!
  5. I have been here since day one . We had a prior forum before Rick and Katie started this great one. I live on Long Island and work in Manhattan Had my right lobe removed in 2000 I was lucky and was diagnosed at stage 1A and did not have chemo nor radiation. However, my sister was diagnosed two and a half years ago and had some positive lymph nodes and had a wedge resection and went through chemo and radiation--so far all is good!

Nothing to do with cancer in my mind but I am over 6 months smoke free as of the 14th !!!! It was the hardest thing I have even done but the most rewarding thing even cancer (see my profile) never stopped me from smoking Just a personal accomplishment that I never, never thought I could attain!
