Mike, Thanks for letting us know about your mom. I am saddened by this news. She has fought so hard to get well. I miss her posts. I too have spoken to her several times. She is such an inspiration to all of us and a wealth of information. I knew she was having all those problems with the contractor's. I knew what she ws going through, I worked in th construction industry for 30 years dealing with them and subs. Sad part is they're here today and gone tomorrow. Let your mom know, she is in my prayers and miracles do happen. Please keep us posted. Thank You, Karen

Try calling the doctor and ask about Advil Liqui-gels. There are people on here who have taken these and helped better than the prescription drugs. It did for me, my doctor said to not pay attn. to directions on the bottle. Told me to take 2 every 4 hours.... Ask your doctor 1st. Don't take until you have checked with him, especially since on blood thinners... Hope this helps, good luck. Karen

Hi Karen, I am sorry your news was not better. I was praing Ken could stay in the trial and it was working for him. Have you considered RFA (Radiofrequency Ablation?) It was originially approved by the FDA for tumors in the liver. I don't want to interfere with your decisions, only maybe give you other options to look into...There is a lady there in Florida, Trish. Her husband had the RFA for the liver and is going in next week for the lung. I am glad Ann is there to help you. She is such a wonderful lady and support. I hate this disease. Where is the cure? Lori, You keep on being your mom's advocate. She knows you will help her to get things done. You did the right thing. That's why she told you she had a headache... Don't take to heart what your SF says to you. Just let it slide, he is showing he is not in control, even in your mom's eyes. Keep up the good job. Hope these tips work. I took Kytril for nausea. never did loose my appetite. Why did they give him the dexamethasone or decadron. How many milligrams did they tell him to take, if I may ask. I take 1mg per day , but it is for inflammation and swelling. If he starts taking it, don't just quit taking it, it must be a slow wean off. It increases appetite a lot, make sure he drinks a lot of water.... Karen
