  1. Well Judy I will have to join in and wish you a Happy Birthday on turning the big 40 !!!!!!
  2. Well I'm home as well but just for the AM. I read somewhere that the day for most absenteeism at work is the day after the Superbowl. So far the 3 of us are proving that correct. LOL
  3. I got a feeling he will soon get that elusive fish as well. LOL
  4. I got a feeling he will soon get that elusive fish as well. LOL
  5. Well it is another clear, sunny day in the knife. Just nice for doing anything outside with the temperatures in the high -20's. Denise we have an old saying in Newfoundland... " Watch your noggin ( head ) " LOL That is great ts that you went out and enjoyed yourself and is getting plenty of sleep. I know I had great difficulty sleeping and it was more in 1 hour increments.
  6. Well Judy, I do not have a problem with typo's because of my fast typing. LOL I'm concerned that I will get a sprained wrist from typing with my 1 finger. Oh and since I plan on loading the couch, I think I will load the fridge too. LOL Big UFC fight on tonight and some friends are dropping by.
  7. Well it's still dark here yet but it is calling for a clear, sunny day. But cold. Somewhere near -40 so Judy I would gladly take the 61. Oh and Judy I think I will go and load the couch too...with myself. LOL
  8. Well I finally made it back home. Very easy to tell I am back in the knife with -36C temperature this morning. Oh well. Plenty of meetings yesterday and today. Doesn't pay to go away for a few days. The week before you leave and the week after you return are just hectic. I bet your quilt look's great Leslie. The flaw just gives it character. Hey Judy, I still might show up at that luncheon. LOL
  9. Hi Ted I had a lobectomy and my upper left lobe removed. If you are having VATS than recovery time is very good. I was released from hospital on the 3rd day and flew over 900 miles home. On the 4th day I actually dropped into my place of work to say hi. I was staged 1B and they did not recommend adjuvant chemo either. I got a 2nd opinion and pushed for it. The Oncologist finally agreed but wrote on my chart that studies did not support my decision. I had 4 rounds of Cisplatin/Vinerolbine.
  10. Well I am in an airport as we speak so you never know. LOL A friend forwarded me an email earlier. Now I know the real reason why you ladies live in Florida. LOL I'll forward it to you.
  11. Not sure if hanging out with you ladies in Titusville might be such a good thing. LOL
  12. Someone has to be there to keep you ladies in line. You get in enough trouble at chat, can you imagine all together in person ???? Space city will earn it's name. LOL
  13. Well it is great to meet you mwga. We have lots of great members here who are there for support, encouragement, as well as trying to answer any questions you may have. Please share a little more of your story with us.
  14. Hi Bette I have only been 1 1/2 years since my surgery but my Oncologist said scans will be every 3 months for the first 2 years and every 6 months for the next 3 years. Hoping for great results on your scan.
  15. Well Shelli I'm sorry that we will be competing against American Idol, but if it is any consolation, I will sing for you. LOL Better be a slow song because as you know I cannot type fast. LOL Nice and warm here in the knife again today. But it is expected to drop to -35 this weekend.

  21. Judy are you sure you didn't have a glass of wine before you posted the disappearing air yesterday ? LOL Still dark here in the knife but the temperature's are really nice. My son and I are going out hunting partridge ( ptarmigan ) this morning. So next year there will not be a " partridge in a pear tree ". LOL Usually we do not get any but just enjoy being out in the woods. We'll probably have to order pizza for dinner. LOL
  22. Congratulations Joanne !!! Thank you so much for posting your incredible story. As Kasey said, success stories are really helpful for new members. For someone who has just received a diagnosis of lung cancer, it provides such hope to read a story such as your's.
  23. Now Becky does that mean you are not moving back to Alaska to enjoy these great northern temperatures ? LOL Congratulations Becky.
  24. Congratulations Rob!!! Someone is definitely looking over you. I did notice when you dropped into chat last time that you left rather quickly.
