  1. (((((Berisa))))),

I am so sorry to hear about your Father but I, like you, know he is now in a better place. God bless you for the strength and love you have shown him (and us) over the course of his illness.

    God Bless,

    MO

  2. Cindy,

Good to hear from you. It is amazing how we come to depend on a machine to keep us connected to the world! I know I would be lost without my computer, lol.

  3. The first thing you need to do is convince hubby that ANYTHING different is reason to call the Dr. This disease turns us all in to hypochondriacs BUT it is usually needed. If his Dr's are worth anything they will be happy to answer any calls and questions. It does sound like he may have an allergy and should have it checked out.

I am also on Carbol and taxol but I get the taxol every week and the carbo on the 3rd week. So far it has worked well on my lymph nodes (not so good on my liver) but we are sticking with it for now. I always get Tagamet, Benedryl and a steroid prior to my chemo and have not had any nausea or problems from the chemo. I eat like a horse on chemo night from the steroid and I do notice an unusual case of "gas" on the 3rd day after chemo (thank goodness that is Sunday). Other than that I have had few side effects from this combination.

Prayers are with you and your hubby.

    God Bless,

  4. To Where You Are

*Music: Richard Marx -- Lyrics: Linda Thompson

    Who can say for certain

    Maybe you're still here

I feel you all around me

    Your memories so clear

    Deep in the stillness

    I can hear you speak

    Your still an inspiration

    Can it be

    That you are my

    Forever love

And you are watching over me from up above

Fly me up to where you are

    Beyond the distant star

    I wish upon tonight

    To see you smile

    If only for awhile

    To know you're there

    A breath away's not far

    To where you are

    Are you gently sleeping

    Here inside my dream

    And isn't faith believing

    All power can't be seen

    As my heart holds you

    Just one beat away

I cherish all you gave me

    Everyday

    Cause you are my

    Forever love

    Watching me from up above

    And I believe

    That angels breathe

And that love will live on and never leave

Fly me up to where you are

    Beyond the distant star

    I wish upon tonight

    To see you smile

    If only for awhile

    To know you're there

    A breath away's not far

    To where you are

    I know you're there

    A breath away's not far

    To where you are

  5. All of the things mentioned can play a part in the confusion and memory loss. I find myself having to ask if I have told someone something or I repeat myself 10 times to 1 person and never tell the other 9, lol. I also have started writing down important things to help me remember to tell whoever I need to tell. I know in my case it is the chemo and after effects of the PCI so I hope it gets better as time goes on.

Prayers and best wishes to your brother.

    God bless,

  6. Every day we wake up and can say Thank you Lord is a beautiful day but I know what you mean about being able to get outside and do things! I love this time of year because the earth is being reborn and it is so beautiful! All the trees leafing out, the flowers in bloom, frogs croaking and I even saw fireflies last night! They are about a month early here as we had such a mild winter.

Hope you had a chance to catch some fish. I think I am going to take my grandson fishing tomorow if the rain hold off. Should be a treat as it will be his first time, lol.

  7. Ya missed a chance at Wango Tango Tickets! Sheesh! I guess you DO need a break! Hope you enjoy a little time off and we will be here when you are ready to come back. Enjoy some time with that new hubby!

    God Bless,

  8. Thanks all, I have by no means given up yet! I am to ornery and pig headed, lol. I know God is with me no matter what happens, he will either make it all come together and work or he will have a place set aside for me with him where there is NO CANCER! In either case it is HIS will be done , not mine. In the mean time, I am living life, playing with Tonka trucks and trying to do what I can to help others going down the same road!

God love and bless you all,

    MO

  9. I saw my Doctor today when I went for chemo. I wasn't sched. to see him till next week but I thought I detected growth in the lymph node on my neck so the nurse set me up with a quick visit to him before treatment. He said that it actually felt and looked a little better than last time. What I am feeling now is the smaller units that make up the lymph node. When it was so swollen it felt like 1 big mass but now the swelling is down I can feel the smaller units.

He said my liver seemed worse ( more growth) but he would continue on with the treatment I am currently getting for another time or two in hopes of it starting to work. Next step is Iressa according and after that it is pain managment and pallitaive care. Still not giving up but it is starting to not look as rosey as it once did. Prayers and good thoughts appreciated.

    God Bless YOU all,

    MO

  10. Sorry you have been under the weather. Not fun at any time of the year be especially not fun when spring hits and you can be outside!

It is so wonderful to get a chance to actually meet some of the folks you "talk to " on line. I am glad you had the chance to do so.

Prayers for healing sent your way!

    God Bless,

    MO

  11. You certainly have my prayers and good wishes. Don't you wish they would give you the results of the scan RIGHT after they do it? I know my Dr. will usually call me that day or the next day for sure but any amount of waiting time is to much, lol.

    God Bless,

    MO
