  1. Mine was dx'd with an xray also. I get a CT scan every 3 months and an xray each month. They can tell from one month to the next if there is any change as they will compare them on a screen (at least mine does). I guess I would look at it as being stable unless the Dr. says otherwise.

    God Bless,

  2. One of the young men I work with (23) was taken to the hospital last night with a collapsed lung. He was fine at work yesterday and I guess, while watching tv last night, complained to his girlfriend he couldn't breath. They are running tests today to see if they can determine what happened.

I doubt if it is cancer but we all can relate to lung problems.

    God Bless you all,

    MO

  3. I am glad things looked good!

I always have an ab scan at the same time they do the chest scan. It is what picked up the problem with my liver.

Prayers for it to be "something" odd!

  4. Another drug that battles nausea is Ativan. I only had to take it a couple times but it sure helped. Neupogen is wonderful for white cells. I get a shot 4 days a week in the out patient dept at the hosp. on my way to work. It has kept my whites up where I haven't caught so much as a cold this spring! I get an Arenesp (sp) shot every other week for my red cells and so far it has a mixed reaction. I did need to get a transfusion shortly after I started it but since then my red counts have been ok ( low but ok). I haven't had the chemo regime your hubby is on but I have heard it does a good job.

Prayers for strength and healing headed your way!

  6. (((((Debbie))))),

I am so sorry to hear of your husbands passing. I am glad you got to spend the final day as his wife and not the caregiver though.

  7. Howard,

I am so sorry this beast got a hold of you. You have an amazing attitude and I want you to know you have been an inspiration. I am getting to the point you are at now and only hope I can have the courage and strength to get to the next level.

  8. Thank you all so very much for the kind words YOU have given to ME. YOU are the ones making this board the family that it is and I do thank God for bringing each of you in to my life. I wish the reasons would have been different but he knows what he is doing.

God Bless each of you fighting this beast and God bless each of those dealing with a loved one who is fighting the beast. It is HIS will be done but the good thing is there is no death, only life everlasting for those who believe in HIM.

Prayers for strength, healing and understanding to all.

    God Bless,

    MO

  9. I made a bunch of guardian angels for the members of my church and had some left over, if any one would like one (at no charge) pm me and I will give you an address to send a stamped, self addressed envelope. I will be happy to send you one (first come, first served). We can never have to many angels in our lives.

    God Bless,

  10. I had VP 16 and Carboplatinum for 3 days every 3 weeks for 5 sessions the first time around. Low blood counts are very common, fatigue is normal and nasaue can be a problem. Be sure he drinks lots of WATER, at least 2 - 3 liters a day. It really does help!

    Prayers headed your way.

    God Bless,

    MO
