  1. Hi Mark, and welcome! Glad to hear you are doing so much with your life and so well, too. Sounds like you are perfectly happy and content - however I don't think you should be judging those of us who are still dealing with the day to day trials of treatment or it's phycological effects. Perhaps having physicians in the immediate family have an impact on the way you look at the victimization/survivorship situation. May you have continued good health and mental outlook. Proud to be 'labeled' a survivor - Terrie
  2. Annie- What wonderful news!! Sounds like Tim is on the mend - I will continue to keep you both in my prayers for continued good health!! Terrie

    Answered Prayers

Cindy - YYIIIPPPPEEEE!! Great news!! Terrie
  8. Anita - As a mom, I can't imagine your grief as I write this. I wish I had an answer to your question, but I don't. I don't know how anyone could get this disease - much less one so young. I am so very sorry for your loss, but after reading your story, I know that you are comforted by your daughter's LIFE. You will be in my prayers today, that you and your family will keep all of those wonderful memories of Adriane close to your heart in the days ahead. She sounds like a wonderful girl - I will print her story for my teens to read - in inspiration for them - there aren't many out there. God bless - Terrie
  9. Deb- Will keep your dad in my prayers today as he visits the surgeon. Hopefully they can do something to help his breathing and get some chemo going. I agree with you - it certainly SUCKS - big time!!! I hate to use that word, too, but sometimes, well, it just fits! God bless you and your family right now - you are all in my prayers daily! Terrie P.S. Those candybar sizes - yes, they did!!
  10. Sharyn- Add my prayers to the list - Terrie

    Mom's Doing Great

Susan - That is WONDERFUL news, indeed!! Nothing like reading a great post to make your day!! Terrie
  14. Madison - My tumor did not shrink very much after radiation/chemo - however, my original diagnosis was wrong. They did find that the tumor had stopped progressing and seemed to have - um, like holes in it - like swiss cheese?! I knew it changed somewhat because my breathing was much, much better. So, in answer to your question, the tumor did not grow - it kind of died off - but was still similar in size. Then I had surgery to remove it. Hope that helps. Will keep your mom in my prayers. Terrie
  15. Add my prayers, too. Terrie

Ada - Welcome back to Pittsburgh, although I wish it was under better circumstances. I was sorry to hear you are having so much trouble - but your doctors seem to have everything under control - and so do you. I will keep you in my prayers today that your surgery is a great success and your recovery an even greater one. Terrie

    OUR friend...

Into all of our lives certain people are sent by God - angels, if you will. They come to nurture us, guide us, maybe even to be an example of what we would like to become in our journey through this life. I feel that way with Mike and Shannon. Their married lives were what we aspire to. Not just as married folks, but as human beings. Shannon's loss is a loss we all are feeling right now. Thank you Shannon and Mike for allowing us to be a part of your journey. Thank God. Terrie
  23. I am so very, very sorry. Your postings were an inspiration to me and strength when I needed it most. God has blessed you in this life as he will in the next. Terrie
  24. Deb- I am sending up prayers right now for your dad - I'm so glad the boards are back on so we can all keep in touch! Hang tough and take it one day at a time - as my hubby told me - and if that's too much you take it one hour at a time, one minute at a time. You can do this. We're right there behind you. Gods blessings-- Terrie
  25. Brandy - What wonderful news!! I agree with Don - GO CELEBRATE!! Terrie
