We were at his house tonight visiting, and he wondered if anyone here could tell him what a needle biopsy of the lumbar would be like? Is it a spinal tap? And he asked if someone could give a summary of the procedure. He is seeing an orthopedic surgeon for this. The doc is saying there is "something" there, but not sure what. Thanks for your help xxoo

and it was strange I guess. Said that there is a compressed fracture, and they are not sure if there is also a tumor, but he is getting an appt. with an orthopedic surgeon for a biopsy of this area of the spine. Not sure when that will take place. He is on 100mg of duragesic patch and also vicodin. Will update when we know a bit more. It has been 8 weeks since the onset of this pain. He also has a 9.5 PSA, which they are not dealing with right now, but will probably biopsy that soon too. Seems to me the dx is desparately needed here.

How awful! You are right, it is a gorgeous night here in Flushing too, but our neighbors are having a bonfire.. same type of problem and while I don't have lc I do have congestive heart failure.. so can't breath either. They do seem to have put their fire out now thankfully. I agree you could talk to them but we do have a fan in the window that blows out and that does help. Cat, this guy sounds like a complete nutcase!!!! I really don't understand why he is practicing in this field unless it is because he enjoys playing god over people's lives! I wish I lived next door so I could come help you fight this idiot, but since I can't I am sure praying for quick resoloution to this. xxoo
